5 photos from last year... building thread will be soon

Then there was a long dirt road with swamps. This moments we didn't photoed unfortenattely. We we on the way already for 12 hours.
We were very got tired. And the s*** happends!
We hear from the radio - jimny is in destress!!!
Investigetion showed that the cross beam of transfer case was broken due to stump.
One hour of thinking and half an hour of making a "Pinokio" from our firewood. We have to bind front drive shuft to the chasis to hold transfer case in right position. So we became only rear 2 weel drive.

That's a big bear track...

no... it is baby bear track. Our bear is very big? I think they similar breed to grizli. Thats why we sleep inside cars)

Now I want tell you about my experiments with front axle.
what have been done:
1) Install dropboxes
2)Install upper steering arm
3) remastered panhard rod
4) make the axle balls taugh:)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) - 4'' Drop box with shifting front axle 30mm (1.2'') to the front
installed 35mm spacer between driveshaft and axle gear.
made 4 bolt required length from the cylinder head bolts.

So it rotates my front axle and now castor angle became normal, front rods became parallel to surface, drive shaft angle normalized, bottom spring mount and bottom shock mount rotated to normal.

2) install upper steering arm
we have only 2 bolt holes in our knuckle on the top, so knuckle has been milled and drilled for 4 studs and for adjustable pivot.
now all rod raised and not so open to injury and all rods now parallel to surface that makes my driving more comfortable.

3,4) As I shifted my front axle to front, panhard rod bushing have wrong position( angle). So I decide to make it Z style. It was cut and rewelded.
Knucke ball were strongered with gusset plates on the top and bottom.

Also 4mm plate was added under the steering reductor. Gusset plates were also welded around upper panhard arm on the shassis.
This places are very sick in LC 80 and I often can see crack there on other 80 rigs.

What are you referring to as a "steering reductor?" You've done some great modification so far.

I'm sorry for my english. I mean that shassis uner steereng reductor often cracks and get very rusted. Thats why lots of people take of reductor, and make chassis stronger with plate by welding it to the chassis, then set reductor back.

Down is not my rig.

Can't believe I hadn't seen this thread before. Very cool.

All rods are paralleled to surface, castor angle backed to normal. Everything is like a normal stock virgin LC80 :)
Shocks work well, make no swining of body. 110-130 very comfortable, but it begins gorge fuel like a pig:)
so my normal speed 100-110. 36'' Simex is pretty good at a hight speed.

That is incredible...and congrats. These angles have been a problem that most have not been able to correct in this manner since the beginning of time! Of course these methods will not work with independent front suspension systems but obviously will for solid axle. BRAVO

In 2016 year my truck was at first serious expedition for 3 weeks without any civilization into the nature of Kamchatka.
I gathered 260 littes of fuel, spare pars about 50 kg and instreuments and begin!
We try to find old geologists roads to some volcanoes where is no wheel roads, only crawler old tracks.
Trip was about 3000km and it was really hardcore!
Sorry for Russian text in the pic.
