Beautiful work!!

The only low country, above sea level, that I'm aware of over there, is the Limburg Province. Am I close?
Nope, a bit more to the north, country is correct. Close to a bridge to far.

Ah, Gelderland... I didn't know it was above sea level.

Wish we were there
It is wel above sea level.
We live on a ridge that was pushed up by the glaciers during the last ice age.

Sorry to clutter your thread with more praise, but I can't help myself. Your work is just so impressive! This thread is especially great for me since I'm about to do virtually the same work on my cowl, though I'm sure it won't hold a candle to yours. Thanks and keep the pictures coming! It's a huge help for me to see how things come apart. Like you, the metal work is my favorite part, but I'm still enough of a beginner that it intimidates me and makes me hesitate to cut into it.

Thanks for the props.
Don't be afraid of the steel work. Just cut the pieces out an use them as a template.
Buy the tools as you need them.
Most of my patches are made with vise inserts for bending, a roling sheer and a grinder.

Being a Vermont truck the bottom of my A pillars are non-existant, so any pics of what it should look like are hugely appreciated!

What year is yours?

What year is yours?
It's an '82. I bought it in 1993 from the my next door neighbor, the original owner, who was 75. She used it for hunting and plowing snow, so it's seen a lot of winter salt.

I actually have to carefully separate the cowl from the tub, because I have 3/4 tub that I bought 10 years ago. It'll make it easier to work on but harder to get the final fitment right. It's complicated also by the fact that it's being disassembled in VT, and reassembled in Boston (in a 1-car garage).

Decided to cut the remaining affected part of rhe cowl and replace it

Patches welded in, they still need some work but it is a start.
