Lmao, yeah not sure. Thought I read someone mention fusing it.

Haha, LMAO - I'll own it, I used the "f word" 1st - so we can all blame me (I'm cool w/ it, ya'll know I got a thick hide, haha).

My only defense is we were jumping concepts in such a variety of scenarios / configurations of why we are talking higher amps in the tail of the vehicle, so for me it sorta became part of the catch-all of having a battery disconnnect real accessable to wherever the batteries were.

Meh, It was me though - guilty & open to ridicule, hahaha.

No fusing to my winch BTW - however I do have it on a dedicated ring terminal & it's the top stacked terminal with a simple wing-nut to pull loose if I have any issues.

Use either a large solenoid, Blue Sea rotary switch or Anderson connectors

If sh!t were to get real, you wouldn't be able to undo a wing nut fast enough

You know, good point - I see your point, I do need to improve the setup.
A true 'awww heeelllll no!' -moment & I really do need to switch it, that's not a real deal setup.
I've been waiting to drop my dual battery setup in, but in the meantime that's a weaksauce reason.

Point well taken, thanks!

Yes I have personally use the frame channel on 60, 80, and 100 series for wiring.
Just seeing this post. Any pointers on running 2-0 AWG down the frame of a 100-series? I think there are a couple through bolts (one from my Dissent rear bumper, perhaps) that are making the work a bit tricky for me.

Like, is it better to thread forward to back or from rear to the front? Will that make a difference?
