That makes me feel better....
Should I PM you to order a pair? I have a trip in late September that they would be perfect for: nice cool nights and bugs.

i'm interested in one of these. Just looking at the locking latches; are those bad boys strong enough to keep someone from getting a finger somewhere underneath and pull open?

Not sure if you could get your fingers under the panel.:meh:

Trust me on this - our window is last window someone would use to access the inside of your Land Cruiser.

Considering you can get in an 80 via the other sliding window with a piece of spaghetti (uncooked, don't be silly), I highly doubt anyone is going to mess with an aluminum panel and latch. And if you replace both windows then a small pebble can get them in through any of the door windows with very little effort.

cool, let me know when they are available.

Dang! I won't be at the meet tonight.

Should be soon
Interesting - diesel powered 80 sale out number the gas sales:hmm:
Maybe because we are lazy and don't want to open the rear hatch with swing out or open door/open rear window/slide rear window open to grab a beer? At least that is my excuse.

History - The original concept of the design was Eric of CampTeq. He has used the design for the past several years in all environment from the winters of Aspen to West coast of northern California with no issues. I obtain the right to the design from him and since refined the hardware and design to bring it to market.

The design is simple by comparison to others, effective, secure, and something you can be proud of.

The Basics -
Panel 5052 - 1/8" Aluminum strong, rigid, and light
Poly hinges - No issue with dissimilar metals, will open 45° over horizontal
Latches - Metal waterproof matching keyed compression latches
Full bubble seal - Water proof and dust proof
Trim on exposed factory edges for a clean finished look

Strong interest will support the price and will be published when all options have been decided.

Thoughts?

This the last time my Land Cruiser will see a window here:) Although the lift up window can be removed and factory window replaced without any indication it was every installed.
