Rear lower hatch strut option (1 Viewer)

Has anyone looked into putting a strut/shock on the rear lower hatch? A buddy of mine did this on his truck. Definitely a great upgrade if it can be done.

Would be a neat mod,

I remember the first time a grabbed the new assisted tailgate on a Tundra.

Lol... I wanted to trade my Tacoma on the spot! Lol...

Then the new 3rd Gens got it.

Looks like the new 200 cruisers have it. I wonder if there is a way to repurpose it on the 100?
