I got it from Brian at Axis offroad. I went to his shop and he had it there. Dont think its on the website. Call him.

Paul at Gobi Racks, used my year 2000 LC for the prototype to make a rack and ladder for the 100 series which attaches solely to the top half or window section of the tail-gate section. The first step you take is on the bumper and then you can scuttle up the ladder to your roof deck. Do you need it if you don't have a rack, the answer is no. If you have a rack and haul stuff up there, then yes, it works well.

Would you happen to have a picture of the rear of the LC with the ladder laying around? I'd like to see how it looks.

I could sure use a ladder to help me get up to the ski box rather than standing on the open tailgate in muddy shoes.

I have a tailgate ladder on my 80 and it's great for stuff at the back of the roof, not so great for stuff in the middle or at the front ... a small telescopic ladder stashed in the truck somewhere might be more useful.

^^^ my box opens from the back so I think that kind of thing would be perfect.

I am using it all the time now. I added some grip tape at the first step.

Very nice!
Does it have a solid feel when you are on it?

The GOBI ladders are rock solid. Not flimsy at all.

How much $? Not on their site other than a mention of them being available.

^ what he said

I would imagine higher psi air struts might be required...especially in cooler climes?

Very nice design...

Paul did replace the shock stuts for the rear door on mine which were in need of being replaced anyway and yes they are a bit stronger for the added weight. I don't know what the retail price is for the ladder. You can call Paul on his cell (303)-947-5623 and chat with him if you would like.

Very solid ladder. Very lightweight. My OEM struts are 3-4 years old and no problem in warm weather. We shall see what winter brings. I gave GOBI an old used strut to source a heavier duty replacement and directed him here to MUD because I know there are threads on that topic. You still have to call the company to request the 100 and 80 ladders. production is gearing up.

Now about those 105 OEM ladders, I took this photo in Jordan last year when this gentleman cam by to say hello in the morning.

Great info and pictures
Thank you!

Does anyone know anywhere to buy a Gobi ladder (other than Gobi) or know what their handle is here on Mud so I could PM them? I ordered one more than a week ago and have had no luck getting anyone on the phone or via email to 'process payment'...

Not sure offhand but I believe there are dealers. www.gobiracks.com has a message saying the offices are having phone/internet problems. Let us know how it works out.
