Regearing is for wussies.

I have to run 35's for now I put almost 400 miles a week on the truck and I am not ready to regear and go to 37's yet.

Once you go to 37's (unless your Nay aparently ;) )you just do bigger stuff and still hit the mounts anyway.

No matter what you will hit the mounts, excluding Nay;), with 35's or 37's.
I am happy with the way the truck is set up, it makes for a great DD and a decent off roader at the same time. just looking for some feed back on the mini sliders.
Any one can say get bigger rubber, and when the truck gets commissioned for trail only duty it will get alot more than bigger tires but for now I have to wheel what I got and that is what I do.:D

He is in Virginia - there is no "bigger stuff" :flipoff2:

The "bigger stuff" here breaks truggies, especially Toyota truggies running 8" mini-truck junk. :meh:

There are a few places that have pretty big stuff for primarily tubed chasis buggies, four wheel steer etc.
Come on out Nay and break your junk east coast style.:flipoff2:
You guys on the left coast got it made when it comes to off road terrain.

excluding Nay;)

I never hit my mounts :flipoff2:.

This video might help - you can see how much good my mini-sliders do in the first minute of this vid, although they took the abuse. Then watch at about 1:37 where I am on both the main rocker slider and the mini-slider - the rear just slides over slightly and then climbs effortlessly. Lots of people spent lots of time at that spot, ultimately hugging the line to the right to avoid it.

I'm just giving you crap, I'm a VA native. :grinpimp:

High traction wheeling is so much more fun :hillbilly:

I know man. Its all good.
I will make it out to left coast one of these days to wheel.
Crawling and low traction can be a PITA here in the east especially in a fat 80

Good idea on the ramp/sliders. That control arm mount gets pounded.

If you're going to do that, go whole hog and get a set of Wild West Off Road cranked control arms. Extremely strong and you'll find that now you don't hang up on rocks as much like you do with straight arms. I've done three Rubicons with them and consider them a must-have for rock wheeling.

Cool - keep an eye on the Rising Sun chapter page, they have lots of good stuff going on. Would be cool to meet up for a run if you are back this summer

The rear control arm sliders have worked really well for me. I haven't been held up on the rocks as I used to be prior to the addition. For the amount of time need to install it'll be worth it for you.

I considered fabbing a set of bent rear control arms years ago but ended up not going that route as you lose some drive shaft protection. Now that I run a .137" wall rear drive shaft they may be an option.
