It took me about 10 hours to get this far. Receiver and axle spindles next, then I'll start on the arms. I'm not the fastest on the block and figure this project will take about 20 hours, granted that’s not all work time, some off it is wondering aimlessly.
OK...here is the list so far of interested people (in the order of when they contacted me). I apologize, but I didn't get a chance to call the cutting shop today. For sure tomorrow. Let me know if you are not on the list and will throw you in. The more we have the cheaper these things are going to be.

Just so everyone knows...these things aren't like a snap together plastic model, but rather takes some finesse. MTN.GOAT, chime in to give your experience. I spent a lot of time with mine, but with MTN.GOAT's, I did make a fair amount of changes that I think made it simpler to assemble. I am more than willing to make simple changes, like if someone wants to have one with a tire carrier and without the holes, I can make provisions for that. When we get closer, we can get more firm plans of what everyone wants.
Well, I spoke to my cutting shop and it looks like it will be right at $300/kit (not including shipping). That includes the mounts (bent, with no holes - all frames will be slightly different and this will work better for everyone), top plate with two holes for the axle spindles, a receiver hitch reinforcement, and all the other plates needed to piece just the lower section (no tire carrier or axle spindle). If someone is interested in the swing out tire carrier, I could probably fab those for people and ship as a ready to install unit with spindle and all you need to do is weld the spindle to the bumper and attach the swing outs.
Looks like this thin is coming together. Very cool.
Bunch of questions:
Would this include the tow points?
I'm not confident enough with my welding skills to weld this thing together. Thoughts on tacking it together, then taking it to a shop to have it welded? Would the pro welder be able to get to everything with the whole bumper assembled? Did you completly tack it, then go through and weld everything?
What was your source for the spindles?
Do you have a way to hold the swing arms out if the truck isn't level?
I'm not clear on the reciever hitch. What do you mean when you say receiver hitch reinforcement? Is that the box piece that the reciever hitch would slide into? I can't see in the pictures of your bumper if there is enough room to put a pin in through the reciever.
If I'm reading you right the kit would include the parts to get it to the the point in the picture below, not including the spindles themselves and not including powdercoating. Does that sound right?

Thanks for offering to do these for fellow cruiser addicts. Please don't take my questions as being picky. I've been invlolved in enough group buy's and co-ops that went bad to learn that more detailed the information that gets discussed before doing the deal helps avoid mis-understanding later.
Thanks again.
