I don't see why not. You are just talking about the 2.5x2.5 square tubing right?

Exactly. I know that you can buy them as "receiver hitches", or you can just use 2.5"square, like you do. I was going to fab up some inner support that would go from that receiver tube to where the rear cross member bolts into the frame, hence replacing that old rusted cross member, creating a sturdy receiver hitch and making the rear portion of the frame more rigid.

Advise some caution with the 2.5x2.5 The dedicated receiver tubes are DOM'd so that the interior seam is gone. Not all 2.5 stuff is missing that seam, and getting a slider to fit is a PITA. Ask me how I know. :(

I'm not saying all is like this, only to inspect it before buying it.

This tubing will be the honest to goodness stuff you need. Been building bumpers for a while now and learned the hard way. It is more expensive, but the only way to make it work.

Can you get me some more detailed photos of this area for me? I'm trying to figgure out how I can account for my 2" body lift when I do the install.

So what exactly would you like pictures of. I could take a pic of how the top edge of the bracket comes to the bottom edge of the tailgate. Is that what you are after? Really, the frame and bracket dimensions set the position of the top of the bracket.

Not sure. Can you think of a way to space the bumper up for a body lift? Is the bracket built in a way that it sets the bumper height off of the bottom of the frame, and that the bumper can not be spaced up? Any way I could move the brackets to the inside of the frame, and put a 1.5"-2" block in to move the whole assembly up? moving the brackets inside change the scale of the angles of the bumper?

Order status?
...anyone with additional input as to whether the 60/62's share rear bumper mounts?
As soon as that's figured out I'll be happy to Paypal you in full.

Well, since I posted the price, I have had only a couple respond that they are still interested. I am ready to place the order for the 10-12, but need to have a firm commitment for others here. I suppose the best way to do that is take money as a deposit or for the full amount. Any thoughts?

Did I miss the total measurements for shipping?

I am interested but what to have measurements so that I can use my FedEx account to see what it will cost me to ship.

What would probably be reasonable for all parties is to have full up front payment or have a "deposit" that would cover your expenses with the remainder due prior to shipping.
Shipping costs will be a concern for many as that thick of plate will be hefty (but Cruiser approved) though probably not crazy heavy when compared to others.
Like I said, once compatability is confirmed I'm in.
BTW: you got a photo of the back side (forward facing side) of the bumper/hitch? Was just curious as to how this is reinforced for towing...
My Miller, ThermalArc, ThermalDynamics, and Cruiser all await your response.
Oh, and where/what spindles are you drilling the holes for, and could you post up your sources for additional parts?

OK...Got some weights and measurements for you guys. The top plate (with the two holes in it) is the longest part. Look at post 96 to give you an idea what I am talking about (with the exception of the receiver tubing. It is 58 inches long and 6 inches deep. The total weight of the bumper excluding the spindles for the tire carrier is 85 lbs. I am not sure if it would be more economic to package it into two boxes or just one. You guys will have to help me on this to find the most economic method to ship. The bent bumper brackets are the only ones I see kinda being an issue to package since they have the bent edge. I will try to get some pics this week.

Pending shipping price. I'm in. Cost to ship to 89423. Nevada.
Thanks

Fourrunner I'm most definitely in on this! The price is outstanding as well as the style and quality! When you figure out shipping, figure one for zip 60630. I can do Paypal or any other method you come up with!

I would also need one spindle hole in the bumper on the passenger side along with a spindle.

I just got thinking and want to make sure everyone is clear on what "kit" means. When you get your "kit", you will receive a bunch of flat plates, some with holes and some with notches, and some with bends, etc. Everyone understands that? I most likely will be shipping via fedex since I can ship them from work. If anyone wants to know how much it will cost to ship to their home, go to fedex and you can calculate it. My zip is 83442. I am making assumptions that the package will be about 60 inches long, 6 inches deep and about 4 inches thick. If you guys are living close to each other and you find a more economic way to ship multiples and will not be to much work for me, i would be willing to combine the kits. This sounds like it might happen, just need to confirm with my cutting shop that they won't increase the cost if I make simple changes like 1 spindle hole versus 2, etc.

Weights and measurments were very helpful. Looks like about $50 shipping for me, not bad.

I'm still very interested in the bumper. A few more questions before I can commit.

1. Concerning the bumper spacing with my body lift: Does the Top plate (the ones with holes for spindles) weld to the top edge of the bumper bracket I posted in the picture in this post: IH8MUD™ Forums - View Single Post - Rear Bumper Build
"Any way I could move the brackets to the inside of the frame, and put a 1.5"-2" block in to move the whole assembly up? moving the brackets inside change the scale of the angles of the bumper?"

2. What was your source for the spindles?

3. Do you have a way to hold the swing arms out if the truck isn't level?

4. Have you worked up the pricing for the swing arms? If I do this bumper, I'd like to buy 2 swing arms with the bumper.
