Or..

Dam good work amigo..

Both work :D

beautimus..., when are you taking orders? post a price for the love of us 60 owners!!

clint

AS SOON AS I get my jig set up ( a week or two)
my jig is the rear frame of a 60 with the lower 1/4 sheet metal for 1/4 protection fabbing :D

standard bumper(no tire carrier) looks like its gonna be around the $350. range at this point.
to add a carrier, figure up to another $350. it's the spindle that eats up the price of the carrier.

just a rough projected cost right now.

Bumper looks great...Any plans to modify std bumper to accept a hitch, or hitch ball, for towing?

Luis- Here's a pic posted earlier showing my bumper mounting above the receiver. I think Jim would agree that you really want the hitch welded to the frame, not the bumper.

The wife is not real keen on the look of the bumper, but I reminded her that she would not be looking at it when she is in the truck! and I REALLY like it a lot!

I do think that she will like the final PAINTED product better. She has trouble visualizing things that are not finished. Not the sharpest visual skills. I think that is why she married me :( I am not the best looking dog in the show.

chris will be by on monday for tire placement mock up.

we'll get a pic of the works all set up.

toad, i'll try to get some better pics for the wife for you. of the bumper of course ;)

mind you, production tire carrier will no be this extreme, but it will be "overbuilt";)

thanx all

jim

Where do I send my $ for the pre-order. That looks really good.

pics,no tire on the carrier.
the start of the gerry can holder.
two cans will fit inside the tubes and have a hold down for each can.
5" x 1/4" flat bar will be the base and a back bar towards the tailgate will keep it secure.

pics of the hitch per request.
this 62 had a factory bumper on it when we started, this gives an idea of how the bumper fits above the reciever hitch.

Looks awesome man, If he wheels anything like me he is going to wack the jerry can holder off the ground. I know do a lot, and my holder is up rather high. My 2cents would just say to move it up a little higher. But aside from that it looks super sweet man.

Here is a shot of how low mine lil jerry can holder hangs... But yours looks much beefier so It prob doesnt matter too much.

Hey Lowtideride, I was thinking of that when I looked at the photos too. While I know I don't wheel like you (i.e., "air assalt on a rather steep rock face" :D ) I am having Jim change it for better clearance.

personaly............awww never mind, it's chris's bumper ;)

it would have been fine :D
