i only have two outriggers on my sliders welded to the frame.

cool! that is what I thought you were describing, but as you could tell, I was not too sure. could you show me the others as well?

thanks

That bumper redefines the words "heavy duty." Very, very nice work. I am continually inspired by the work people do and post on this forum.

thank you very much sir!

i also just hook up from treerootCO the rear frame rails from a junker 60 sitting in his yard.
as soon as i go cut it out, bumper will go into production and hopefully not take as long as chris's :frown:

it wont be priced to high
bumper by itself will prolly be in the $250.-300. range....

SOLD! Put me down for one!

So what did you end up bolting the bumper to? It appears that the original bumper mount needs to come off the bolt it up right or did you drill more holes?

saturday/sundays pics

after removing the factory bumper, we had to make a notch in the x-member so the 3/4" plate would slide in the frame
using the factory bumper brkt holes you have to cut the heads off the rivits and punch them out.(sawsall works the best for this)
we unded up having to cut the 3/4" plate down to length, from 14" to 9"
we then counter sunk holes in the end of the plate so the plate would go over the rivits from the rear body mount.(i made the mistake of just counter sinking the holes, instaead of making a grove in the plate so the bumper would slide off the frame, that was sundays project  )
drilled holes, cut 45's,tack welded plate, trimed off the ends of the bumper for a sleeker look ;)
we spent about 8hrs on this saturday and a couple sunday fixing my mistake.

i've got eight pics of what we have done so far and as i finish this up in the next couple weeks, i'll post more.

thanx for watching........stay tuned :D

drilled out the rivits and used the original holes from the stock bracket

It probably weighs about 150 right now with the tire carrier.

and i'm not even posting in the other thread.
it's not nessasary
no need to spend that much $$ on quality. ;)

trying this again, issues with my pics

Don't know if you know this yet, but what will the measurement from the bottom of the tailgate lip to the outside top edge of the bumper--ie, how far will it stick out in back?

Nice work, by the way.

God dam there has to be a lot of work into that bumper...

Q:Don't know if you know this yet, but what will the measurement from the bottom of the tailgate lip to the outside top edge of the bumper--ie, how far will it stick out in back?

it just sits out far enough that i'll have room to mimick the end cap so it will just wrap around the corner.
i will also build in some stealthy 1/4 protection :D

Q:THE MAN.....edit ;) there has to be a lot of work into that bumper...

you dont have to tell me.....
trial and error
the end pieces are all individual pcs. the next ones i do will be one piece that wraps up the ends..

gettin there :D
