Rear axle seal

I was getting my rear brakes done, when I picked it up they mentioned they saw grease leaking from the passenger side rear axle. This is confusing to me as I had both rear axle seals done in November of 21’ around 17k miles ago. Could it be a deeper issue or a real possibility it has gone bad again?
Edit- I have attached the original service receipt from the Toyota dealership I took it to.

What type of seal was used? OEM? The cheaper seals don't last very long. Also fairly easy to damage the seal when installing.

- It could be whoever replaced the seals didn't clean the area leaving the old grease.
- Maybe they used a cheap aftermarket seal.
- You could have a wear groove where the seal rides.
- Maybe a worn bearing.

I'm surprised the shop that worked on your brakes didn't give you a call and mentioned the leaking seal to see if you wanted it fixed.

You did not make mention of axle bearing R&R with new OEM seals. Assuming seals R&R correctly. Not replacing bearings, is likely why seal(s) didn't hold.

This is the original receipt from 21’ the bearing on the side where it is currently leaking is the one that was replaced

You did not make mention of axle bearing R&R with new OEM seals. Assuming seals R&R correctly. Not replacing bearings, is likely why seal(s) didn't hold.

I posted a picture of the service receipt in an edit of the original post, it seems they replaced the bearing on the side that is now leaking again
