"Sleeping in, after a long drive, while grinning from ear to ear?" THIS

That 12 hour 800 mile trek kicked my ass  BUT she made it back without a hitch! It was a 24 hour adventure that started at 230am on the the 18th and ended at 230am this morning. Flew into Philly and took an Uber over to Exton PA where I met the owners at a tag office to make the deal. Super nice couple that was actually going through a divorce, hence the selling of the LC. Wife was upset after 14 years of ownership, but I assured her it was going to a good home and would be much happier in the mountains of North GA ;)

After paying them 4K in cash I hopped in and started driving south like I stole it, which I now feel like I did! :steer:

I stopped briefly to have the oil changed and fluids checked as well as air in the tires. The guy still couldn't provide TB maint verification so I held my breath as I eased on down 95. Took it to my mechanic today and we pulled the cover back slightly and could see the belt.....yep, cracked and looking a bit ragged. Thank you LC gods for allowing me to get her home safely!!! TB and water pump are due to be replaced on Tuesday!

I'll update more but now a few pics......
make sure you do the heater ts congrats on the purchase

That's quite a story and a brave journey back. Congrats!

How does this look? Seems like someone deleted or did a heater control valve work around??

I think those are normal Ts.

Your truck looks clean! Invest $ in some PM and get the interior detailed and you will be styling!

Nice find, congratulation. I'd pull those front wheel hubs and see what the "reported" issue is with bearings.

Thanks everyone! It is very clean and I was expecting the worst rust wise being from Philly, but it turned out to not be so bad at all!!

There are small rust spots here and there and one on the frame I need to take a wire wheel to and treat. Also some bubbling and small rust in the corners where the running boards were (I removed them).

Does anyone have some good advice dealing with rust on the rocker panels? Thanks.

Thought the same but blow up the pic and I believe it sitting lower.

How many keys did you get?
