2nd-Gen 4Runner/3rd-Gen Pickup Tech..

So, since the last freezer we had here this winter my passenger side squirter got somehow rotated a bit counterclockwise so the squirter's now are doing this..

I pulled the hose and the nozzle to clean it all up, put a little bit of tri flow around the metal part of the nozzle where the holes are and used a micro-pliar to try to twist it back into position to no avail..

If you have a quick cure or trick for this let me know, if not no big, I'll just grab a spare from ToyConnection this week. *

I always just used a pushpin, takes some fiddling with, but it did the job.

For a fun diversion, redirect the jet for the rear wiper so it shoots straight back. Next time you get a tailgater, give it a few squirts, they'll back right off.

Toothpicks, point the nozzles so the picks are looking square at you in the driver's seat. Worked pretty well with my dad's old 290D.

I know it worked for you, but I wouldn't advise it... if it breaks off in the nozzle, you're up the creek without a paddle! What is safe and works is a very fine piece of hanging wire or a safety pin... whatever that will fit inside the nozzle without messing it up :)

I'd already tried all of the above, excluding the toothpick trick, Corey from toyotafiberglass suggested a surgical needle and silicone spray. I'm gonna try to warm it up with a hair dryer and try the pliars and spray along with some #5 sewing needles. FWIW micro plairs are for surgery, they're the one's they use when stitching up veins and arteries, high grade steel ftw!

Had that done with my '80 Celica GT, funny enough nobody tries it with the Runner, must be the armor b/c the last guy that tried it and kept creeping at a stop sign freaked when I put the trans in reverse, so the backups lit up and gunned the gas. Dude must've not known I had a clutch and a loud exhaust (had it still depressed) and all 4 of us in the Runner had a great laugh at him looking like he was s***ting his pants in his little pos Accura while laying on his horn yelling for me to "STOP!".

[EDIT] The silicone spray was the trick. :D Got them evened out and while doing so apparently popped the ball back in (reason again being is the system froze up in the winter). Then all I had to do was hit the squirter to check the evenness and then go back and fiddle a little with the height.

Done and Done. :D

That's awesome!

We actually moved the base of the sprayer, the toothpicks were just to give us a target so we could see what we were aiming at.

These were silicon-impregnated Bosch units, and they turned like buttah!

Oddly enough that's exactly what Sara said also. I looked and while dancing said "What am I, unh huh, unh huh??" and that's what she came up with.

A conspiracy huh? Nice!
