Newer homes too. As long as it is painted, whatever works. I've even filled those corners with color matched plastic wood on varnished moldings.

Off topic, I want to pour gas over a box and light it on fire but I don't want to get blown up in the process. Ideally I'd build a bow and shoot a flaming arrow at it but that seems like too much work. Anyone have suggestions on remote fire ignition set ups? I'll google it if need be...

They're fun (no public/private property was damaged during this activity)!

X2 on the trail of gas. I've seen lots of gas-soaked fires lit this way.

My brother chose the 'blown up' method. Boss told him to burn that pile of junk, here's the gas, so he poured like 10 gallons on the pile, bent over, 'flicked his Bic'....he says this is the moment it occured to him that maybe this wasn't the best idea....BOOM.

On the bright side, most of the hair grew back.
