Up for sale is a new (-ish) Ranger Torque Splitter to adapt the Chevy V8 to the Toyota 4 speed transmission. 27% overdrive model, found here (760024M-27 : Toyota Land Cruiser 4 speed Ranger Torque Splitter Overdrive 27% | Advance Adapters).

I no longer have the original box, but have all the parts—the shifter, the boot, the break in oil, etc. It comes with everything you'd get if you ordered it directly from Advance Adapters. I think I've had it 3 years.

I got as far as mounting a V8 in my frame and bolting this thing on, but that's all it's ever seen. It's never been under engine power, never driven a mile. I was always a little over my head with this kind of conversion, and it's time to just cut my losses.

New is $1626 and change, I'll take $1200 OBO. Shipping is additional of course, but I'll take care to box it up right. Shipping insurance is on me.

I'll take $100 off if you pick it up. I'm in Payson, UT, and make the drive between Payson and Lehi daily. DM for dibs, or call/text 385-threeonetwo-2029. Happy to answer any questions.

Pics to come.

Ooh, forgot to add—I have the bell housing as well, yours if you want it as part of the package. It's the original bell housing from a 6.2 diesel with the SM465.

Oh baby baby baby... this is a rocking good deal. I'm (sorta) glad I'm in the midst of a totally incompatible project!

Bump for ya....

Better news—for the same cash, you can have the clutch and clutch fork as well. Brand new (numbers in the photos). For some reason I thought I had not bought a clutch yet, but I sold the engine and found that I had!

So...you just need $1200 and a V8. Easy (hah).

And the photos, finally.

15530202 is the casting stamp in the bell housing.

No play in the shaft, of course.

Thanks, @woytovich. I've had pretty good luck here in finding parts at a reasonable cost. Maybe this'll buy me some karma in a future cruiser life.

Bump for a Tuesday. I also found the original box. Really, someone steal this from me already.

It won't. The Ranger input shaft is splined for a Chevrolet V8, with the rear machined out to accept the Toyota input shaft.

Goes together like: [V8][Chevy bell housing][Ranger Overdrive][Toyota Transmission][Transfer case].

Would it fit on a 3fe with the 3 speed bellhousing?

It will. You will need a special pilot bearing though, look through the SM420/465 swap threads in the FJ40 section.

I have an NV4500 behind my 3FE using a 3-speed bellhousing.

Yeah, if any of this is still available I’m interested in the bellhousing and clutch fork.

Hey @jcd7 and @cruisermatt — apologies both. Everything sold a while ago.

I hate open/ambiguous FS threads, then did it myself.
