Interesting. Mine have always functioned just as well as my BMWs did. Have you guys turned down the interval on the stalk? It has 3 sensitivity levels.
The dial on my stalk does absolutely nothing. I can't tell any difference, no matter where it's set. :frown:

Yeah, I'm not happy with mine either, same year. It's super annoying to have a light mist and they immediately go to Ludicrous Speed. I may disconnect my sensor and give up on them.
I tried that at first. This sounds spoiled as sh!t to say but it just didn't work the way I had hoped. It was like a traditional intermittent wiper and I found myself adjusting it constantly. Probably a little more than trying to get the rain sensing wipers to work. Plugged it back in and have just lived with it.

Far too quick to go into high-speed on the wipers, I agree they are just annoying.

I disconnected the sensor and now have traditional intermittent wipers. Much better, personally.

I love my auto wipers. They work perfectly, and the interval makes any necessary tweaks. They seem to always be doing what I want.

It’s been this way for 6 years of ownership.

Until the past few months, they stopped working at all. Only manual.

I began to research and found this thread.

I figured out that if the bottom edge of the sensor isn’t contacting the windshield- they don’t work.

While it was raining today I was able to press the bottom edge and sort of tune how well they worked. The tighter the push, the better they worked.

What I suspect is that those of you who are getting less than optimal, the bottom of sensor isn’t pressed.

Give it a try and report back.

That’s what I ended up doing as well. I can tell it’s raining as well as a rain sensor.

Mine works pretty well. Once in awhile it will not turn on when it probably should have and have to activate it manually, but it usually works fine.
