I've only used one to jump a dead Camry in a Menards parking lot. The one I had before was a $100 Schumacher jump box, which failed to jump my GX. The NOCO is rated to jump a 8L gas engine, so hopefully it can revive my 2UZ-FE if needed

I have a mid-rated noco and it has surprised me.I've only used one to jump a dead Camry in a Menards parking lot. The one I had before was a $100 Schumacher jump box, which failed to jump my GX. The NOCO is rated to jump a 8L gas engine, so hopefully it can revive my 2UZ-FE if needed.
I've been super-impressed with their little Genius charger. I didn't disconnect the Odyssey battery in our camper over one winter - it was dead as a doornail by the time spring rolled around. The NOCO revived it over a couple of days and it's still working just fine a few years later. I don't think a normal "dumb" trickle charger would have been able to do that.I have a mid-rated noco and it has surprised me.
This is why when I build my sleeping/fridge platform and drawer system I'm going to make room to stuff a battery back there. If I had a good place in the back of the GX, I wouldn't mind having both batteries back there also. But since I don't have any kind of drawer system or raised cargo area, they're both relegated to the front left bumper.
I have an off brand that I bet came out of the same factory.I'm also looking at a Battery Tender for the motorcycle, which I don't mind for my car too.

Back to the LiFePO Group 31 size lithium battery to replace my two Odyssey PC1200's. Any further thoughts from the crew??
NOCO makes those as well. I have one in a box that I've been meaning to throw on my tractor but haven't gotten around to yet.I'm also looking at a Battery Tender for the motorcycle, which I don't mind for my car too.

I would keep the starting battery a Lead Acid and the LiFePO4 as a 'house' battery. I get 8-10 years out of my starting battery and it is nothing special. Plus, if set up right, you can charge your NOCO off the house battery to save yourself in a pinch.I'm also looking at a Battery Tender for the motorcycle, which I don't mind for my car too.

I'm planning on either one big 'ol lithiuim (Group 31", 13" x 7.5" x 6.5" approx) or two AGM's. After about 20+ years of dual AGM's. I'm kind of done with the AGM's and feel it's time to move into the 21st century.I would keep the starting battery a Lead Acid and the LiFePO4 as a 'house' battery. Items that draw lots of power at once seem to drain LiFePO4 batteries quick. They are great for fridges, fans, pumps and such but plugging in a Shop-Vac, log splitter, lathe, etc. can show it's weaknesses. Engine starts as well.
I have both, with the latest starting battery being ~4 years old and the 'house' battery with 3. I wouldn't change anything.
The battery I have measures 12.76 x 6.86 x 8.95 in.I'm planning on either one big 'ol lithiuim (Group 31", 13" x 7.5" x 6.5" approx) or two AGM's. After about 20+ years of dual AGM's. I'm kind of done with the AGM's and feel it's time to move into the 21st century.
The Group 31 is almost the exact size as both the Odyssey PC1200's, so fitting shouldn't be an issue.
Regarding draw on big ticket items. I always run my engine when I'm using my winch, aux exterior lights, 3k watt inverter for chain saws or whatever. The only thing that I ever let draw on the battery without the engine running is the ignition.
Dakota Lithium has their DL+ 135Ah LiFePO4 (Group 24 size) that can handle starting and high amp draws, BUT is only intended for <150A alternators. It is self heated as well. The battery I have measures 12.76 x 6.86 x 8.95 in.
I don't know of any Battleborn (or equivalent) batteries that are designed or recommended for starting engines in a vehicle.
I have a 240 amp alternator. Just pulled the trigger on the battery. It arrives next Tuesday.Dakota Lithium has their DL+ 135Ah LiFePO4 (Group 24 size) that can handle starting and high amp draws, BUT is only intended for <150A alternators. It is self heated as well.
I used that battery as the aux battery in my Grenadier, absolutely no complaints, but the majority of alternators nowadays have too high of an output (not to mention the wrong charge profile) for it as a starting battery.
Technically you could just run a second one and be safeI have a 240 amp alternator. Just pulled the trigger on the battery. It arrives next Tuesday.
Hope I don't have any issues with it!
Details on the alternator? I know the rear climate control option gave me an upgraded one from the factory (150A vs 130A) but no idea what other options I have.I have a 240 amp alternator
I've installed a voltage booster: VoltageBoosterPRO - https://voltageboosterpro.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoolv-i4o0EWPzA7uA8JlmtvL6NupuGbhU7CXLYs8te0WDfyGwfKTechnically you could just run a second one and be safeI'd definitely do a voltage booster to get the charge voltage up
