Sounds good. 1982 FJ40 hardtop. I think they only had them from 1979-84… thanks a bunch

Dang, even the housing 44107-60020 is disco now, no more conversions.

yep, and I was searching on-line and came across a few listings for what appeared to be an aftermarket replacement that ranged in cost from $250-500… so I bought it and it doesn’t have the right angle for an fj40 steering column. All I can figure is it’s for a mini-truck or 60 and has been miss labelled. So “buyer-beware”someone has been advertising these for an FJ40 and they don’t fit (unless ya do frame mods). Anyways, I returned the pump and let them know…. What ya think—any of you other guys heard of this problem of mid-advertising for this part?

Best to just send your old one to Red-Head Steering for a rebuild or get the rebuild kit (which is getting hard to find) and reseal it yourself. Last I checked its about $500 for one of these boxes to be rebuilt.

EPS is the way to go now, we are going to have to look the other way as to OE vs Mods as our parts are drying up.

Agreed. EPS 100% 100% of the time. Total no brainer.
