I know this topic has likely been covered before in detail but I have been having trouble find the answer to my question even after searching. I am about to pull the trigger on some 17" Trd rock warriors. Will these fit my stock lc200 out of the box or do I need to use spacers? I also read something briefly where someone mentioned getting them machined to fit. I'd like to get them machined but need more specific info on what needs to be done to them.

If you use the Toyota recommended LT285/70-17 tires, they are plug and play on stock 200 series Land Cruisers ... Toyota says so:

You don't need spacers or any machining, but be sure you also get the required lug nuts - stock lug nuts for the OEM alloy wheels will not work.

Perfect thanks for the info. I'm getting suspension work done and plan on running a little bigger than stock tire.

Careful on those blanket statements, some have mentioned having trouble fitting 17's on the 2016+ due to the new tundra brakes.

@gaijin - For the win! How many times have you used that? I swear I've seen it no less than 5 times.

Sorry for the FNG question guys. The info is greatly appreciated. I'm super excited to join the 200 series club. I'm building the truck to take with me to Africa next May. It is a '13 by the way.

You've found one heck of a forum here. Welcome. :)

I love my RW wheels and you need to make sure you get the right lug nuts for them. The KO2 tires are an excellent choice.

Just bought a second set of RW wheels yesterday for $500 with KO tires.

The 2016-17 brakes are the same as the 2007-current Tundra brakes. The RW was originally made and came factory equipped on the 2009-13 Tundra RW spec'd truck. There will be NO issue with the factory wheels and factory brakes.

I always try to be careful - and responsible - in my posts. Can you provide links to those posts mentioning having trouble fitting the 17 inch Rock Warrior wheels on the 2016+ Land Cruiser?

TIA

It was just 17's not fitting due to the new brakes. Seeing from above posts that these aren't a problem, especially since as usmcHOG said they were made for Tundras. My point was about the doc being dated 2011 and the 2016+ having the new brakes with some people reporting problems fitting 17's, but I didn't know the back story about the RW's coming from the Tundra so my bad! Newbie mistake. :)

I have an '08 LC. I put RW's on it. They fit perfect. They also look great. In fact, I think the RW's look better on the LC than they do on the RW Tundra that they were made for.

If you guys with the '16-'17 LC want to run 17" wheels, head over to the Tundra forums like Tundratalk.net and see what they are running. There is quite a few non OEM 17" wheels that will work with the Tundra brakes.

I am not sure what the difference are but there is difference between 07-15 and 16-17 200/tundra for the front brake caliper and knuckle. The parts numbers for both calipers and knuckle appeared to be different for both 200 and tundra. Some people claimed that 06-07 model has larger caliper for improved brake. It is good to know the RW wheel will fit on 2016 200, I am thinking to put RW wheel on my 2011 201 too but planning to upgrade to 16 brake calipers and rotor ( if it is indeed a more powerful caliper setup ) and not sure the 17" RW wheel will fit 2016 200.

Well my deal fell through on the set of RW I was looking at. I've found some online through OEM wheel suppliers but they are now running $325 a piece. I'll continue to keep a look out on CL but do you guys know of any other aftermarket 17" wheels that fit without much fuss?

There's not much else out there. Besides the 17x8 steel wheels, which are right at 20 pounds heavier than the RWs, there is an alloy 17x8 Toyota wheel sold outside of North America that can sometimes be seen for sale in Australia and other markets.

Here's TireRack's selection in 17," you have to choose Tundra to see the 5x150 17" selections.

Look wise, I like the AR 910s, but fit at 0mm offset is unknown.
Most are wider than 17x8, and the offsets are way off from stock 60mm/50mm Rock Warrior.

Method Wheels has some decent 17s in 5x150 (our pattern). I'm leaning towards buying a set. The offset is a bit low but a like a tad of poke on my trucks/suvs

Can't the offset cause excessive pressure on the hub bearing and axel if it is not close to the OEM numbers?
