Everything in the front is finally torqued down to spec. You can see clearances are tight in a few areas but everything clears. I will test it under droop and compression when it is driveable.

Cheers

Full lock both sides with tires.

Could certainly fit bigger tires or get more out of the steering stops. Clearance is very tight up around the knuckle ball though.

The owner is coming to town tonight so I am pushing it out for a bath.

Cheers

A little something I am working on.

I have OEM plastic covers for all four doors. Had to clean up old butyl tape before installing. Sprayed wax coating inside doors first.

Well, tore down the clutch booster to rebuild it. Needed to order a part to finish that off. Part is ordered but I don’t think I will see it until next week. Slight bummer as I was hoping to move the truck under its own power soon.

Cheers

I’ve been looking at the STT Maxx as well. And also the Yokohama Muds.

Yeah I'm trying to stick with 255/85r16 size as I'd like to keep my OEM 16" rims, but there aren't a lot of options in that size that I've found.
Toyo MT
Cooper ST MAXX
BFG MT
Maxxis Bighorn
Dick Cepek Extreme
Toyo M55

The ST Maxx and Toyo's are the front runners and seem pretty close in price. I like the looks of the Toyo's but the STT Maxx are probably a better DD/highway tire.

That is what it came down to for this truck and build. The owner wanted original wheels and skinny tires. Not a lot of choices.

Cheers

Cranking away on the engine bay for awhile now. Nearly there. Had to fabricate a lot of brackets. Move items around, rebuild items, on and on.

Last phases of this build are;
-finish interior, half done already
-install FR drawers and RR
-exhaust
-front bar
-sliders
-install LED lights
-OEM flares painted and installed
-testing!

I have a video detailing engine bay work, see if I can upload later.

Cheers

I just took it for its first drive around the property since the build began.

Had to wash it off after. :)

Working through all the little things that need to be dealt with at the end of a big build like this.

Brakes have been bled. Lockers have been tested. Clutch is killer. This is one mean little Cruiser!

I might be putting the carpet back in it tomorrow. Oh ya, it’s about to get tested on the pavement!

More to come.....

Cheers

Oh ya, I think I will take it for exhaust next week as well as a hood wrap. Fender flares after that and then it is off to @Delta VS for the last few things.

Cheers
