This is cottonland..

But its all about the build up... Hell its been 15 years in the making.. This sucka will make it to 15 pages.

And bodean will post up:

"Its in."

And thats it.. Cause he has a phone that came with his 40

;)

Wow, so funny so true!

Well, I have the Orion in the bed of the 40 so at least it's gettting closer to the spot it's supposed to be. Getting started tomorrow morning. Jrob and I will be at it for a while tomorrow yall come on by if you like (we'll be at Jrobs work).

Well, it's mated with the tranny (make comments now) but the damn thing won't go back in! I said screw it and we gave up for the day. We are going to try a different approach tomorrow. The trans jack is a pain in the ass. I told Lenny that if I was charging for that job it would cost a million dollars! That is one heavy sob!

4x4 or landscape timber across the roll bar. Come-along to a strap around the trans/t-case. Easier to handle and you just swing it into place. One man job if you can't find any help.

We started on the strap way of doing it late. We did not have a strap we felt completely confident in , it was like holding up an elephant with dental floss, so we wrestled with it longer than we should have using the tranny jack.

Like all men we had trouble fnding the hole..

Clutch looked surprisingly awesome. Barely any wear on it. Bodean will get another 10 years out of it. So when he updates his phone he will get another clutch..

Good news is.. Bodean is ahead of schedule

Mating ritual..

In order to remove the play between the new gear installed ,spacer and tranny output bearing in orion case the nut was tightened down till the bearing sunk into the orion case. Even though the nut was tightened all the way it still had 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch of play between the spacer and bearing and gear..

Seems fine though.

George,

Looking at the last 2 pictures, we installed the gear on the shaft along with the black spacer. There was a spacer and a washer then the nut. Did we miss anyting? How would you put either of those spacers in backwards?

I'ma be honest... I'm not bright. But the last pic, that nut looks like it's threaded on too far... you've gone passed the "stake" point on the tip. Sumpin' don't look right.
