What options are good for powersteering in 1980 4wd pickup? 31-33 tires...i'm a 1 bananna mechanic.

Oem boxes 79-83 seem very hard to find. Are they the ones that get swapped into fj40s, or is it the later boxes?

I mini truck ps'd my 76 fj40, figured an oem swap would be just as easy, but no parts... trying to decide now as it's still a way off, so i can gather parts

Thanks

The easiest way is stock ps stuff. Look around, its out there.

The best way is to go to crossover/hy-steer using an IFS mini box.

I agree with this. Cross-over steering. It will require some welding, drilling. It will be worth it in the long run.

Plus,

The gear box mounting kit is far superior to what they sold me over a decade ago.

Although Cross-over steering will probably be better in the long run, Buying an early PS box would be be easiest/quickest solution. Basically R&R - for the box at least. Same PS pump and Res can be used if you want to do cross over later. Plus the early PS box probably isn't going to lose any value.
