Yes it is :D

You have to wear golves because the tools will actually burn your hands???

I worked on my brothers Jeep in Puerto Rico during the summer. Still better than here..

:flipoff2:

Yulp gotta keep a blanket over them mid day...I now try toa void mid-day sessions now and head for the ocean...be back with some more photos shortly..

Nothing too amazing done tonight.

Picked up the hub throw out bearing...But yet again it looks like I need another part. The clutch fork I have now is pre-85 and it doesnt look like its going to work with the slave cylinder I have. So it looks like I am on the hunt for a 85-87 clutch fork.

I got the modified pedal bucked installed and the dash cleaned up and put back together. I also got the brake booster and clutch master installed. If it would not have been for the the clutch fork being wrong I would have had the tranny in tonight.

I also grabbed some pics of Velveetas cage to spice up the boringness of the other pics:beer:

Still need to finish the cage work on that rig but its on the back burner for now.

Got the pedals in and finalized...they are good to go.

Also got the front clip on, its starting to look like a truck again. I also cleaned up a bunch of boring junk and test fitted the EFI system to make sure there is no clearance issues with the hood.

I also found out that grinder can remove a lot of skin fast.

I might have to trim the fan shroud to clear the steering box becuase it sits about 4 inches further than normal...

Things are starting to come together albeit slowly, but they are coming together...

Al, you can't sell that unique rig. Too cool. Just don't use it as your DD. Did you call Roger in Keystone?

I really really really dont want to. But its the only wa I can afford to go to school.

This is my last semester and normally I only frive down to Daytona 2days a week for class at a tune of 240 miles and work the the other 3 days. Well since this is my last semester I have more than a full load and need to drive down there 3 days a week at a tune of 360 miles just in going to school. There is no way I can afford the gas to go there, and V-wag isnt a option even though thats what I have been driving in the past.

Ive thought about it but there is no way around it and I am more the bummed to sell this rig. I have put a lot of time and effort into this rig and for me to sell this as soon as its done is going to be, well, heart breaking....But there is nothing I can do about it. I can't afford another rig with out selling this one, and I dont have space for another car if I could. So its come down to getting a DD. Prob a stock 1979-83 mini truck as a gas saver since I can picture myself in a car. This will be the first time in my life I wont be DDIng a cruiser to add insult to injury.

I hope I can get 8k for it since there is not a spot of rust on it, and I have gone thru it replaced,rebuilt,re-painted everything to bring it back to new. That and for the work of the conversion to the 80series running gear.

Super bummed,
-Al:frown::crybaby:

Al, a mini truck won't get more than 4 or 5 mpg better than this one will.

Get a motorcycle..

Stupid cheap 4 or 500 CC 80's street bike. 50 mpg, $50 bucks every 6 months for insurance. Plus you would be the surfer rebel ;)

Haha that would be a little hard with my projects in hand during the rainy season;p

Plus I should have mentioned I was after a Diesel mini....at a tune of 30-35mpg, with running wvo.

Get a side car :flipoff2:

You have to sell (for~$8K) your Uranus rig to get into a $1500-2000 diesel mini truck? Hmmm. Gotta be another way...
How about a Capital One Blank Check for ~$2000? It will put you into monthly payments and with ~12-15% interest rates, but that way you would not have to part with your 60/80.

I'll give you more info about this if you want...

It's how I got and pay for Sheila.

Nope I am keeping it.

I have been ultra busy on it. Work has been slow so I have been prob spending 20 hours a week on it.

Tons of junk done to it. Hell the engine will be 92% together by the end of this weekend.

Its been over due for an update, Ill have to grab the camera and post some pictures.

Just read this entire thread... You're my hero today.

I'm completely inspired. I think I'm gonna go change my oil now. :D

Thanks for the good words, Ill make sure to grab some pictures for an update this weekend.

YEAH! I was hoping you would come to your senses! I will help however I can in getting you into something more affordable to scoot around in...

How about a scooter? As a co-worker of mine says: "scooters are like fat chicks; fun to ride, but you don't want your buddies seeing you on one". The motorcycle idea is ok too, but I really would prefer if you lived...

Or, go see Roger...
