Except for alaca I cant find any lift springs anywhere. I DID find a new set of 4 in. front rough country on ebay but no rears. Has anyone did springs on the front and a SOA on the rear ?

Don't do it! Soa both or none. Ask Jsaltlick. Having gone w/ the sua lift springs- recently- I'll vote for SOA both, now. You have the springs for soa. You'll need some perches and bushings and someone to do the cutting and welding. Some guys round here are for using the old man emu springs for the 70 series cruiseres. Talk to Curt......cruiseroutfit.???Hope that helps

Yeah. The ride kinda sucked when it was half and half. Also the back end sagged lower than the front by about 3 inches.

As an added not, I used 60 series springs with sleeved ends. Worked well and cheap!

No more piggy springs from MAF or SOR

Not enough demand, I guess

I thought SOR and MAF had springs for 55?

Alcan enjoys a good reputation for custom applications.

same price BTW, about $200 per spring. i actually have the ironmans sold through SOR and they have been great springs,,, the rears will need to be replaced pretty soon, i want to talk with my local spring shops, yes plural, and see where they stand on doing a rear set. or maybe just coils.

So what springs and how much lift do I need to put 33,s on my pig? I read on here somewhere someone used chevy springs but I cant find the thread now. Should I post in the wanted section for some?

You could prolly squeeze out 33s w/ a couple inches of shackle...Then again, 35s under a spring over will get the job done- w/ room to grow. IF you want to stick w/33 and smaller, 60 or 75 springs will be just as much-or less- work than the chevys, IMO.

I second the 75 series spring swap. It takes a little work to re-locate the rear hangers but the ride is wonderful with plenty of lift. I am running 285/75/17, clears with no problems.

I've heard National Spring is good. better than Alcan

Stock 75 springs? Who has them? any specific year?

Talk to Kurt at cruiseroutfitters, he ordered mine. They took 1-2 weeks to get in. They are BEEFY but the ride is smooth and they flex really well.

I took off the two bottom thicker/shorter springs on the 75 springs and I still have plenty of lift. If I can get some pics I will.

FYI, if you do narrow 33s: 33x9.5, they fit fine on stock springs and stock rims.

Geof
ya, but a buddy of mine totaled his chevy about a few weeks ago so I got his KM2,s 33x12.5 for 450. (less than 1000mi. on em) Got em right before I got my pig for a spare set for my 40 ,but now im going to put them on my piggy (tires on there now are dry rotted) and I want enough lift to clear them.

I've heard you need to take the vehicle to them to let them get measurements.

Alcan has an extensive data base of stock spring rates. Just total up your additional weight requirements, amount of lift, etc. and you're good to go.

Pics please!

Linked his thread in the swine resource thread, here's a pic:
