Just ordered the ES9000s today at 4Wparts, back-ordered until December!

Sweet. I broke Pro Comp.

Which shocks specifically did you order?

Maybe Summit or another dealer has them in stock? You could also try Pro Comp directly, they may sell direct or point you to someone who has them in stock.

I ordered these:
927530
927514

I am currently running the OME N73 & N74E but wanted a little more travel at a decent price. What do you mean by "I broke Pro Comp"? Did you break a shock or did your thread cause them to go out of stock? I did order these based on your thread and I'm sure I'm not the only one :D.

I didn't mean I broke a shock, just the companies ordering system. A lot of people have ordered them. I doubt that they had a ton of them in stock as up until now they probably weren't high demand items. Someone's probably scratching their head wondering why there is a run on these shocks.

So I am confused by Coax's post regarding the shorter shock measurement. I think what is tripping me up is that Slee's website lists the 60018 and 60020 Nitrocharger shocks for the stock height 861/862 kit, the medium 2.5 kit, as well as the heavy 2.5 kit. So would any of the direct fit Pro Comp shock options work with all three of these spring combo's?

Just put a set of procomps on 927530 and 927514. definatly have more travel but in my opinion are way to soft. Now my rig feels like the front end pitches up a foot every time I take off and sways way worst than the factory shock should of spent extra money and got better shock.

Just got mine from Summit. They were on back order. I waited 5 weeks. Not to bad.

I go home in 3 days so within the next week Ill post up how I feel bout em!

I have been running the 927530/929510 for a few months now and I have been very happy with them. They seemed soft at first, but I haven't really noticed any added sway on the road and they really feel like a perfect match to the OME springs in my opinion. Much more comfortable offroad.

i just switched a set of ome L nitro shocks for the 9000 pro comp, they are in my opinion softer and not as good quality shocks. i have 6" slee lift , was looking for a longer shock witch the 9000 are, but they do not ride as well and are consderbily softer shock. it was worth a shot, as i am going to upgrade to a fox or bilstein 7100.

x2 dont do these shocks spend a little more and get a shock valved for your set up worst mistake Ive made in my build so far.

I don't mind mine, and these were an alternative to ome's which a lot of people have complaints about too.

What springs are you running and how old are they? Swaybars?

I still love these ProComps for the price:performance aspect. They're a great ride onroad and off w/ my FOR springs. I get the same dive under hard braking as I did with OME's and Bilsteins, and the sway (w/ no front swaybar) is comfortable, not severe at all..................

Same here. I think they ride nice. However, I have a lead on some fox shocks so they may be off the rig soon, at least in the front. If anyone is looking for a pair of the 925509's keep an eye on my build thread (link in sig). Less than 100 miles on them and Ill have a set of brand new never mounted (ordered too many) eye adapters for sale as well so you could run them in the rear. For the front you would need another set of eye adapters (about $20 new).

lift was on truck when i got it, it was new, think it is the heavy springs though i can,t make out what the tag says, sway bars are on truck, wich makes a good point, with the 9000,s it rides like the ome l's did with the front swaybar disconected. would like to figure out why some people think they are stiffer and others like me softer than the ome,s , mabe i got a bad batch of pro comp shocks. i am going to call them in the morning and ask someone at pro comp what they think.

i wonder if the valving on the 9000 pro comp,s are all the same, if not it would explain the diffrences some of us are having will ask pro comp in the morning .

I think they are all the same valving. The 9000's are the heaviest valving, 3000 are a meduim and 1000 are the lightest... I believe. The 80's are just tanks so even the 9000's feel soft, especially on the heavier rigs.

ok i talked to pro comp, they where no help , started thinking about how far the shock was exstended and it only had about a half inch of up travel, so i got some extenders and now it rides better, but still not as firm as the ome l,s i had, i am satisfied with the ride now.

I just installed these for the LC

927530 2.00 16.27 27.76 11.49 Stud Stud Yes
927514 2.00 16.27 27.76 11.49 Stud Eye Yes

Just wondering on the install. The oem shocks (stud end) has a washer on the top and the bottom on the bottom bushing. Then a bushing on the top of the shock mount then a washer....

Procomps only have 2 washers and 2 bushings. Are you supposed to reuse the washer that goes below the shock mount? Or just use the bushings/washers supplied?

Also what length do I have to add to the bumpstops front/rear? I saw the picture of the rear axle with no bumpstop extender on it with 1 inch still left on the shock before fully compressed. So do I just need to extend the front? If so what size?

Ohh. Running j's in the front and 863 in the rear. 33 in tires, but soon to be 35's. no body lift.

Okay, initial thought of these shocks with the J springs...

I personally think that the spring/shock combo maybe a little on the soft end. As my LC being a daily driver and drive 80 on the freeway, I get a little more body roll then I did with the stock shocks with the J's. I extended the front swaybar bracket in the front only and felt a little improvement with the stock shocks without a drop bracket. Now its time to do the rear drop bracket. Maybe feel a LITTLE better with the body roll with the 2.00 shocks.

With a little info on my driving. With the stock shocks and the J's I would be able to drive 80 on a bend on the freeway with no problem. It seemed a little stiffer and able to rebound faster with dips in the road. As for the Procomp/j's it feels a little more like a 1980's caddy. Not dangerous, but needs a little more finesse when driving...

With that said, I think that maybe with the J springs a thicker shock body is necessary for the "weekend warrior" that still uses their LC as a DD IMO. I would assume that the 2.36 body shock would do a little better due to maybe bigger internal components compared to the 2.00 shock body. I am no means a suspension specialist, but it maynot be rocket science either.

So Stiffer springs with the 2.00 body, or J's (which maybe a little softer than the other brands) and the 2.36 body.

But since the 2.36 body are limited in sizes, wheeling my LC every now and then.... I would keep the 2.00 body (most 2.00 bodys give more than 1.5 inches of down travel) and get use to the driving(I got to remember that this is a SUV and not a LAMBO)

when i sold my procomp shocks i noticed the pin to pin shocks [front] were not as stiff as the eye to pin shocke were, compressing by hand, this could be the problem with people moding the pin to eye for the front and likeing them vs pin to pin people thinking they are soft.
