Guys...right now I am just trying to get an honest idea what to ask for it? I would like to get a fair price for it, to ofset diesel conversion costs. I have been driving around with it in the the back of my FZJ80 in the crate it was shipped to my from OZ.

i figure anywhere between 1000 thru 1600 depending on how good it is... they were around 1800+ from SOR i think...

my old roommate had one and he wouldn't sell it for less than $1000. and he was my effin roommate!!! ha ha

I sold a rebuilt one a couple years ago with a 5 spd shifter and the oiling cone for the tcase for right at $1000. About that amount is probably what you can expect.

you need to name a price or put it on ebay for bidding.
anyone can get them new for 1800 shipped.
195k is not nothing, and should be rebuilt before it goes into another rig-the full rebuild kit costs about 500$, and it is a LOT of work.

I was just suggesting that you list your price for what you got it for ,regardless of how much other stuff you bought when you got it .Unless you traded parts for it than it seems like a logical place to start . Unless you feel that you deserve more from someone on this board than you paid. Otherwise post it on e-bay

You said the tranny was from a gasser? So it has the output shaft that will fit a 2H and 2F correct?
Does come with the transfercase as well, or is just the tranny?

....as new H55's are about $1,600 before freight

rebuild kits cost: $250+

3 synchros are $70

IF synchronizer ring is bad another $350+

I'm gonna say ask $750 is about right, and I would pop the top plate and measure the 1st gear synchronizer and give that data.
(to me, a H55 w/ bad synchronizer is spare parts)

I had $500 parts and labor into a free H55 I got $900 rebuilt.

...and I think It's FAIR to ask a price on an item not often sold which market has to be determined.
