Rainy season in Hidalgo, so it will be just right. Good thing. We just decided today that we will have to take our Golden Retreiver. The best we could find on a local kennel was just over $700.00:eek:. Now my wife is wishing that she would have agreed with me on driving. Too late now as the tickets are bought. Kinda ticks me off, cause I was planning on using the trip as a reason to do some mods.:frown:

Sdillen, sorry for the hijack.

I've been informed that the Delta Amateur Radio Society has reached the 20 participant maximum for this course, however they have secured a slightly larger room and therefore are accepting just a few more entries.

If you are interested in obtaining your Amateur Radio Basic Qualification, I recommend that you send in your registration information NOW.

As they say.....speak up or forever hold your peace (on the amateur radio bands!)

Of course those days work perfectly with my scheduled days off! Alas, we have Hip tickets for the 12th, and this is one of the few weekends where Petra and I are able to get away somewhere this summer...

See...told ya I would not make it:D

This course is FULL and registration is CLOSED with 25 participants, 18 of whom are from the four wheel drive community.

Those who have registered should have received an email this morning from the Delta Amateur Radio Socieity -- if you have NOT received this information, please sent a note to course@va7icm.ca to let DARS know that your contact information is incorrect.

Also -- if you cannot attend for any reason, please let them know -- I understand that there are a few on "standby" to take any open spots.....

I'd like to offer a sincere thank you to the Delta Amateur Radio Society for making this course happen!

Steve I'm not going to be able to attend after all.Work has gone crazy and I'll be doing over-time next week.

We've had three cancellations.....so there are 3 seats open for the course scheduled for later this week. Send in a note if you can attend!!!!!!!!!

I'm pleased to annouce I got my Basic with honers today. I would like to thank the delta radio club and Steve Dillen for finaly pushing me off the fence after starting to look at this stuff over a year ago. Now it's time to go spend more money and get a radio for the truck.

I would highly recomend attending a cource like this one if you suffer from time limitations or you require a deadline(like me), as it forces you to commit the time to learn it.

Congrats Drew! If you got more than 93%, Bill owes you beer. If I can ever make another meeting, or preferably a run, I'm making him pay up :grinpimp:

I can't imagine learning all that stuff in 3 days. But you got your HF privileges, so you can immediately start forgetting it all!

Phil, how did you make out?
