OEM shocks should not be dead that soon. They may be ill suited for the job. I say get some aftermarket shocks

If it wasn't the shocks then something bad was wrong. No deadening in the rear at all.

I'm gonna get a price on oem tomorrow. Will post up what I find.

FYI, from the 200 forum:

Rear OEM shocks run about 33 apiece, while the front run roughly 133 apiece due to coilover spring/shock assembly.

If you'd remove the running boards and mud flaps before you take it back to her, it would sell itself!!!

It would look 1000 lbs lighter without those hideous attachments!

That seems like a good price to me. If it smells like smoke in there yOu could probably change out the headliner.

I talked to him about that when I picked it up. He said he smoked in it some a few years ago but not recently. After the detail I can't smell anything at all.

Wife is coming around, 60/40 now.

This is what detail shops use and charge you $$$. You may have to repeat the 8 hour thing a few times over some months.
