Client of mine that I had previously told to let me know when he was ready to sell his 2008 LC called me today, said he was ready to get a new one.

2008 loaded with 118k miles. Brand new tires and brakes, and he has meticulously maintained it at the dealership.

He said dealer is low balling him on trade and said he would sell to me for $29k or so. He wants a deal by thurs if I want to do it, which is why I'm posting here.

Even tho I would own 3 cars and would barely break even when I went to sell my wife's 4Runner (which i would need to do quick) I feel like this is a pretty great deal.

Any thoughts?

I'm leaning that way. Color is giving me a ittle pause but won't be a deal breaker

If you pass will he sell it to me? We are starting to look for something for my wife.

I'm sure he would, but don't know if he'd appreciate me already sharing his bottom line :)

If I pass I will get you his contact number for sure.

I haven't seen it recently, last time I rode in it was 2 years ago. Plan on driving it late tomorrow or early Wednesday.

If it's in good shape I doubt I will pass...regardless of the color.

Ugh. Agree.

You need to buy it and flip it.

I thought about that, I think if I was patient I could make $6-7k off it.

But he and I are social friends, see him all the time. Would kind of be an awkward conversation a few weeks later..."hey thanks for the great deal on the truck, took it and flipped it for a quick $5k!"

Cool. Let me know.

Not as much that as telling him you can deal with it for him. Turn it before you register it. Internal. Andy. You know.....

Also what the hell is up with the Saints tonight...making me angry.

they are like your wife.
Messing up a good deal. LOL

I hate the color, but for that price I would look past that. Just something to consider, I have seen a number for 2008s come up for sale for around $35k with similar mileage. Those are colors that you can choose too. Just thinking out loud...

This is the one I have been looking at:

I am not really ready to buy right now, but this one is $35k with 97k on the clock. Carfax does indicate that it once had some front end damage, but it was repaired. I think the Amazon Green is boss too.
