Chris got game! Let's see which of our 73s has more original kit when we are done.....
Sure Ward, issue the challenge AFTER I fab up the non-original x-member!!!! Gonna have to dig up an 80 series x-member and start all over... ;)

Ok, I'm in!!! Just to clarify the parameters of "original kit"...

Anything that came bolted, welded, glued or screwed to a 70 Series truck? All years, varieties and flavors?

Toyota and OEM accessories and bolt on doo-dads? Toyota seat covers, floor mats, anything sold by Toyota to go on/in the truck?

Parts, bits and pieces from other Land Cruiser Series?

How about Toyota parts from vehicles other than a LC? Like if I wanted to get crazy and use the seats out of a Yaris, a turbo off a Supra, air cleaner assembly out of a 4Runner?

Oh yeah, I think this is going to be a lot of fun!!!

I am now double jealous - Chris S's fab skills and Chris D's OEM parts mojo.

12 hours after smack down and I've already lost...

Ward and Chris,

Things have just started and the build is a long and bumpy road...

Something tells me we have a 70 Series BUILD-OFF brewing!!!!!

Consider an official petition to the powers that be:

Along with report, like, quote, and reply, requesting a "jealous" option.

Nice work, Chris!
Chris,
Thanks so much! Big milestone reached. Very relieved and extremely happy.

Working on the power steering.
Using Borgeson 925121 fitting at the high pressure end of the power steering box. This adapter screws into the high pressure side of the power steering box and has an AN-6 fitting at the other end.

I am then using Earls 139106 90 degree AN-6 to power steering hose fitting.

At the high pressure pump end, using Summit Racing UIS-8021560 16mm banjo fitting with AN-6 end.

I thought I could use an AN-6 straight fitting, but need a 45 degree fitting. Should be arriving Friday. I'll measure and cut the power steering hose once the fitting arrives.

Splitting the loom to pull out the water temp and oil pressure wires (yellow and grey). Needing the extra length to move them to the left side of the engine.

Going to follow this nice thread especialy how you connect the electronics of the vm engine to the toyoya engine.

I need to connect the electronics also of a toyota 3B engine to a body that previus had a italian vm engine and wonder how to do it !

So if youre willing to describe the electrical part of this swap in detail also that would be fantastic !
