now that 95% of my truck is finished, i can worry about the very little details.

does anybody have a trick or know of a product that's good for cleaning the OEM chrome bumpers. Mine shines nice but has light scratches and could be more reflective.

Steel wool and polish?

Be sure to use this kind

This stuff....Amazon.com: Quick Glo Chrome Cleaner - 8 ouces. Jar: Sports & Outdoors
Tried it recently on BeBe's wheels and actually did a nice job of cleaning them up. Didn't really put a lot of effort into it as it was freezing out and the wheel was still on the truck but since then, through two storms, it has stayed pretty nice and shiny. I saw it advertised on "Jay's Garage" or whatever its called where Jay Leno features a product that he and his shop guys like.

X2 on Never Dull

I've had good luck with both the Never Dull and Simichrome.

If you use steel wool, only use 0000 grade (4-zeros). Don't scrub the crap out of them - just enough to remove light rust and brighten. Chrome plating is very thin, and it's all 28+ years old on our trucks. A dull bumper can be made to look better, but will never look like new.
