Great work. I am really impressed with your attention to detail. I just purchased a 1979 FJ40 restoration project and will definitely be referring to your thread for some time to come.

Thank you very much!!! I am a bit obsessive haha. Also checkout Destin's and AATLASX restorations, they are awesome too.

Thank you very much, leaving body shop tomorrow or Friday. Coming into mechanic on Tuesday. Supposedly two more weeks. Or so they say.

Do you still have the painless harness? If so which one is it? Or if you have the part number that will help. Thanks. I'm restoring my 66 and enjoyed going through your build.

Hey Pistorman, this '70 is already awesome...and with every new picture, we know she is going to be stunning!!!

I love threads like these, as we get to learn about talents that might otherwise go unnoticed...Coolerman...that is fantastic work! Do you have what it takes to make a harness for a '64? Not for right now, but I suspect soon :)

Got the soft top doors painted, getting ready for the last buffing and polishing.

Does anybody know why there are four holes here? Those beneath the wing vent.

I was able to find a probably non stock handle that was here. I'm having it being painted pewter. It actually works really well and provides some hand/arm support to passenger.

I was finally finally able to pull my car out of the paint and body shop. Its going into the engine rebuilders' shop next week for the reinstall.

Coolerman you are getting the lights, markers and switches by Tuesday I hope.

Here are some pictures of how the last week went.

I need to find some bottom weatherstrip channel for the soft top doors. Only part I'm missing. I'm thinking of taking one as a sample to Mexico to get some made.

Check out my "new" powder coated rear step. :)

There it goes!

Now in my cousin's garage, ready for some long weekend prework, so that it can be taken to the engine rebuilder's.

Some work was done today. Weatherstripping was installed on all three doors. I strongly recommend Toyota OEM w/s, that's what I used. I also threw out the aftermarket door glass channels, and installed new door glass and new OEM glass channels. The aftermarket ones had the glass stuck in between.

Also if you remember I was asking about four holes under one of the wing vent windows, well you can find the answer below :)

I am also having the air conditioning air installed, well what can be installed prior to the engine and compressor being in there.

Super dirty work on one knuckle done, big question here, does the disc brake caliper bracket go here? This is the passenger side front.
