Your CV axles are remanufactured. Is that what you wanted? Can you take a close up pic of the splines?
They are remanufactured by Toyota. OEM new though Toyota, $680 each. New, OEM through Partsouq were $570 each, IIRC…. Remanufactured by Toyota, $188😳🤨😎

I will take pics for you shortly. And there was 18 of them between Canada and the US last week prior to my order.

@hoser

The splines look like they are machined well, much better than my phone translates through pics. Also, fit to the new drive flange is tight with no play having a machined feel when paired. As long as the splines were tempered properly and are of good hardness, I believe they’ll last.

The debris on the splines fibers from the cardboard box.

As far as splines go, it looks like you received a good pair. The bottom one looks more worn though. All depends on the core(s). It is hit or miss with remanufactured axles... even from Toyota. Here's the thread....

Paint and body complete!!! While it looks good, it is still very much a project, of which 99% of the parts needed are in my possession or are paid for and on the way.

Still looking for the passenger quarter window and passenger side marker light. I have a marker light however it’s yellow and fogged, I may restore it in the meantime. It needs a new grille, this one will work for now.

It needs all six belt moldings, which will be ordered this week….I will chip away at the interior .

Got the upper and lower rear links installed. It only took an hour or so. By far the most difficult part was the shocks. I’ll install the Ironman rear springs once I get the UCAs and LCAs, diff drop and front diff bushings installed.

The 16” steelies came in. Initially I thought they were silver, however when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find they are already gray. They are ready for some 135/85s. I’m not sure if I’ll run them as splits or tig weld them up to run tubeless. The beads look like they’re good for it and they’re not too heavy. I got them at such a good price I’m almost considering having a wheel shop put new rims on the centers. We will see😁

I’m not sure if the marker lights are same for LC & LX. If they are, I have one I just removed today.

Saturday we were in Tucson for a four day weekend and while taking the kids out I swerved into audio express. They had me sold on this Sony, Apple CarPlay unit. They said with a harness adapter, it’s pretty much plug and play. I held off and saved over $100 and picked it up at the Walmart. That’s where my day of frustration began. There is no such harness adapter in existence, not that I could find anyways. I really don’t want to hack up the existing harness, so I’m not going to. If anyone knows of something out there, please let me know….excuse the bare feet, I was taking advantage of the weather and out with my flip flops 😎

*Edit: that $100 paid for the Apple CarPlay wireless adapter at the Best Buy.😎😎

I was extremely hesitant to install my Ironman medium 2”, based on testimony from other mud members on extreme rake (after front TBs and raising the front), harsh ride, etc. During our trip, it became abundantly clear to me I need the additional capacity, not necessarily the lift, however I’m willing to accept the lift.

Once we got home, I put the springs in. Super quick job, less than an hour.

The front is still at stock height with a little over 2.5” of rake. This is perfect, as I’ll raise the front 1.5”, the most I wanted to anyway. The ride is improved by quite a lot too. Can’t wait to install the TBs over this next week.

There are four things on this side I do need to correct. I bet @hoser can point them out😁😁😁…don’t worry buddy, they are on the long list of things to do 😅😅😅

Very cool build.

Finally have everything installed. New UCA and LCAs, new CVs, diff drop, diff bushings, sway bar bushings, new rear links and panhard. I did reinstall the stock TBs and believed I had them adjusted properly. This picture shows how they settled back to stock height. I did readjust them when I got back home.

All told I have $4700 into the chassis, all Toyota OEM parts ordered from Partsouq. Had I gone through Toyota, I would have paid 60% more😅. I am impressed with the savings to be sure.

Initially when I ordered everything I wanted to extend the life of the truck. I thought that’s what is worth it to me. I felt if my motivation was for ride quality improvement, the money would have been wasted. I have to tell you, I was dead wrong. The improvement is astounding! It felt solid and responsive. Simply amazing and worth every penny! Think of it this way, $4.7k for essentially a brand new ride, feel and handling. What a bargain!

It goes in to Toyota this morning for an alignment. Hopefully they get it right!😁
