I love it i needed a good rev up gunna gunna gunna, in my defense i have been knocking a new model every 2 weeks since July last year just no LHD all aussie stuff (except the first 80 LHD i sent over)
Worked on the LHD all arvo i have put some love into it and recon it will turn out better than the RHD version but thats cool i will just replicate back later.
so talk soon maybe end of the week i will have some shots but they will be on the facebook page www.facebook.com/4x4concepts
Cheers
Adrian

i have developed some 3d imaging as well as cnc and can now see another way of doing the LHD market instead of starting from scrtach i will just mirror everything i have.

I originally thought that you would be able to just "flip" the RHD pods, since the LHD must be dimensionally the same, but I must admit I didn't know how you manufactured them.

Anyway thanks for plugging away at this, can't wait until they're done. Still need one, but I'm not sure whether a two or three gauge pod, I'll probably buy both just in case I decide to add a gauge later.

Keep us posted, you've got no shortage of customers over here with the LHD pod(s).

3 gauge BLACK $110 include post World Wide
2 gauge BLACK $75 include post World Wide

What i will do if it passes the moderators is add a PayPal link to each product make it easier, i think.

Now i said Wednesday and thats tomorrow, im close but end of week would be more realistic.

Believe me guys im taking it serious and im flat out like a lizard drinking with this one.

The paint code is different over there more a brown than grey so i cant help with the paint at the moment but i will give up the secret to prep them.

Wipe with Prepwash (degreaser used prior to painting a car) then the key is Wiping alchohol i use "vinyl prep" the alchohol is the most important part as it dries out any Polyester (ok i cant remember what it dries but it is the most important part of painting ANY interior plastics).
Then vinyl paint from any auto shop matched as close as you can, remember the dash is a different colour so your nearest match would be say the console or other pillar trim makes it hard to pick.

Anyway talk soon check out the facebook page for any updates/upcoming projects 4x4 Concepts | Facebook

These prices will be firm till end of March 2012 at this stage.

Price for RHD? Same or cheaper?

What size gauges does this pod accomodate?

Don't think these will work for me. I don't see the space they're meant to go in as being big enough for my needs since I already have a tweeter there and then the grab bar. I'll probably go behind the shifter. Curious to see some install pics though.

You got PM. Put me down for a 3 gauge. Normal Lefty Driver side : ) (96 LC )

I just wanted to post & defend Adrian - I have some of his A-pillar guage pods in hand (we were doing a fit - check & then it got a reroute/reworking)

BUT HE'S GOT PRODUCT COMING & IT'S GOOD STUFF, AND IT'S NOT JUST "PIE IN THE SKY" STUFF !!!

IT'S REALLY HAPPENING & WORTH WAITING FOR!

I've got a 3 guage model that retains the grab handle & it's black (paint to match, no biggie)

It's not his final revision, but I'll try & get a pic up for any doubters ASAP.

PM me if you have questions too - like I said, it's real deal stuff, not just a "tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow" type story.

Hi Guys,
I realise its the never ending story but lets face it the Aussie dollars not bad at the moment, and i love money so its become and obsession trying to figure out the best way of replicating the RHD version and not having to start from scratch and have no car to test with, SO i have built the Pod Wacker.
I cant use a computer very well so the attempt with CNC was a fail, on the first demo i canned it completly i couldnt understand anything he was talking about... not my scene!
Replication was important and because i change the designs on the run constantly with the RHD version (38 models and counting may i say) it was also important to contain the design and manufacture to within my reach, also having two the same will be a hit in Australia and as im sure with the LHD guys as you will be able to have left and right matching pods for tweeters etc.
You can see pics of the wacker on the facebook page i realise not much is happening on the page but its only a week or so old 4x4 Concepts | Facebook
I have locked in some prices on a previous post they will remain, BUT i am going to offer the opposite side pod for an additional $40 if anybody is interested 2 or 3 gauge.
I realise i havent posted the links yet it should happen by the end of the week im not going to post the links till finished (obviously) once done post will leave within 2 or 3 days of purchase.
Cheers for the support
Type soon
Adrian

Isn't the standard size 2 1/16" (52mm)?

You got it - that's the standard & I even re-measured to make sure - these are a 52mm hole with a 4mm collar all the way around for a even 60mm area for each gauge.

I'll make a priority of getting pics up, but as I understand it Adrian is re-tooling the process - so what comes out may be an even nicer constructed piece than I picture, and what I have is no slouch on it's own!

I'm trying to source some fairly elastic alcantara like fabric to cover mine - just to further match the interior - if I find a good product that matches the grey leather/dash/wheel, I'll post up what it is & sourcing etc - if there's anybody who cares to go further than just the paint route.
