Pillar Pod gauge holders

You got it - that's the standard & I even re-measured to make sure - these are a 52mm hole with a 4mm collar all the way around for a even 60mm area for each gauge.

I'll make a priority of getting pics up, but as I understand it Adrian is re-tooling the process - so what comes out may be an even nicer constructed piece than I picture, and what I have is no slouch on it's own!

I'm trying to source some fairly elastic alcantara like fabric to cover mine - just to further match the interior - if I find a good product that matches the grey leather/dash/wheel, I'll post up what it is & sourcing etc - if there's anybody who cares to go further than just the paint route.

Thanks Linus - Can you see about an oak/tan fabric aswell?

Also, I don't mind trying to help the tan interior folks, but I'd need a sample A-pillar cover as I don't have anything from a tan interior-ed 80.

If I can come up with a good & stretchy fabric with an alcantara type look, I'll post who it is & maybe a tan interior guy can run with it????

I wish I took a pic while on the pillar when I was mocking it up, but my battery was zonked & phone photos just are trash (mine are anyhow). So I hope these shots give some of you an idea, and LMK if you need alt views or a tape measure in a shot to show any particular size/distance, now that my 'battletank' camera is up & rolling.

It still looks alot like post#52 on page 3.

I thought it was being changed to allow more room for the grab handle and better viewing angle for the gauges?

It still appears as though the grab handle mount will be in the way of any gauge that you put in the top hole.

Can you post up a pic with it installed with a gauge and handle in place?

*Edit - I have attached a pic of my current Acura dual pod with the different handle for reference. I just want to make sure that this thing will fit my 80before I shell out $110 bucks (still haven't figured out if that is US$ or AUS$).

As far as the tan goes I know that you can buy Rustoleum Bronze Textured (7226 Bronze #20066 72268). I know it won't match the felt that is one there but it does match the 80 tan almost spot on.

this is the problem. the pod in the pic is to shallow try and put a boost in and unless its electrical there is no room, so with the RHD version it has been taken out over the pinchweld to give another 10mm so its this duplication that im having trouble with.
The pod in the pic i have available right now always have but im not happy with it.
Im still 100% commited to the LHD version and i am waiting on composite to set this week (cold here at the moment for some reason maybe because i need it hot) im preying all goes well as i also have people over here want them for tweeters and more gauges (not sure why)

Does anybody know of an adapter for a 1 3/4" gauge to a 2 1/16" hole? I have a nice voltage gauge that gives me readings of both batteries at a glance but it is 1 3/4". If I could get an adapter I would do a 3 pod pillar.
