It would be fun just to go to Walmarts and record people's faces when you break out with the hand crank.

If I had 12,500 laying around, I'd be on the way to Wichita. I'm either going piggy bacon or 60 when I save up for another vintage cruiser

1972 Toyota Land cruiser FJ55

Looking at the Piggyies reminds me of the old IH i rode around with uncle in the mountains of WV. The next time I have 12.5k laying around will be in 20 yrs which will make that truck 60+ yrs old.
Good thing is I will be retired and have tons of time to work on it.

Agreed, you always have to give somewhere and these lights are not hideous. Did they phase out the toyota stamp across the tailgate too?

Pig in the shop.
Thought I had a battery issue and come to find out it's a alternator problem. Fawking wired and fabricated this thing where only a special optima 4 post will fit the tray and also connect the terminals needed.

Question, I ran a new yellowtop down last night thinking the alternator was working and today it will only charge back to 11.3.

Sounds low to me as this should be bumping above 13.

Thoughts? Should I leave the 1.3 charge going or disconnect everything.

Max I am getting after 6 hrs is 11.3 on the voltage.

Alternator sounds like it's done. Put the battery on the trickle charger but first check power coming directly from the alternator. You should be in the 13.8-14.4 range. If not check the fuse labeled ALT. If fuse good and still not charging alternator is toast.

Is that a big fuse or skinny fuse?

Disconnect the battery from the truck. Run jumper cables from the Optima to a known good regular battery. Charge at 10 Amos or so for a out an hour then drop your charger to its lowest setting.
