Hey. A new pigs gets us all a lil excited.
Speaking of. It was a good day. After a lil starter wire sleuthing i gave in and wired up my signature horn button starter switch. First drive and full of grins, fuel odor, a scared motorist or two, and a succesful 35mi round trip to dinner and back.
Needs some more carb or time tuning but getting there.

If someone has room on a trailer id love to but i already googled it 500miles/8hrs in a normal vehicle. Ive done some foolish stunts..... and the craziest always in a 55 it seems but not sure shell be ready for that one. Got some vibes to chase and the loudest trans ive ever heard but mostly im out of play money and have 3 cruisers with need lists at the moment. But i wont say no yet

I dunno. New to pigs all over again. Its a 77. The 78 had the carb cooling fan in the driver side fender vent. I had not seen one like this but its mounted very clean and factory like and the vent is solid. I guessed an odd year change but lay on some knowledge if ya got it

Well we took delivery tonight. I think we got a solid deal on a solid pig. It is a driver if it didnt have a vacuum leak or leak aroind the Carb.

Engine bay is mostly unmolested. It has had power steering added, but I have to do some research on how. Has a 3F pump though so guessing it may be a 60 setup, but dont really know.
Weber Carb that will likely be replaced with either a trollhole or the JimC I have (if I can make it work with the early throttle cable setup)
Dashpad will be replaced with the one that I got in the deal.
Got some sorting to do on the dash, but overall, good shape I think.

Interior is in decent shape.
This is why I need door cards, and I have already contacted @a1500ram about a full set of his interior panels
Front bench has seen a lot of miles, it needs a full rebuild and recover
Rear bench will just get a recover to match.
Floors are SOLID on both sides
Rear is clean and needs nothing, but will get panels since they are in the kit.
One more should do it.
This is why I need door cards, and I have already contacted @a1500ram about a full set of his interior panels

I think we got a deal and with a little TLC, it will be great. In TN it is old enough to register without emissions, so this one will get regular tags so we can drive it without restriction. Will inspect further tomorrow and put together a proper "to-do" list. Momma is 100% behind this build, so that will loosen the purse strings up. Honestly, I am going to have to make a list and stick to it because if I'm not careful US Bank will be calling because they think the CC has been stolen...
I will probably start a build thread in the 55 section for soon and will link it.

Before your refurb the front bench, consider going with 40 seats and a center console. By far, the best change i’ve done to mine.
Sort it out and make your way to alabama for the pig party in november!
