My wife and I have been working on making some sweet 55 shirts, this is what we've got.

^^^This will be on the back and the 4wd emblem on the back of the pig will be on the "pocket" area in the front. Cool thing is we set up the artwork to be able to change the color of the pig to all the stock colors (actually, any color but we already have the stock colors set up).

I'm going to have to get a quote before I know how much we can sell them for, but it shouldn't be too bad... it's my parents that will be printing them.

What do you guys think?
 
Some suggestions-
1- Leave the rims gray, thats the way they were from the factory.
2- lose the 135HP
3- change the green in the truck and background banner to either blue or red. these are more popular 55 colors and will appeal to more. Personally I vote for blue
 
Yeah, I've been kinda torn on the 135 HP part... it was on the original ads that we based this off, and I was trying hard to keep the 1960's-70's look... but I never really cared for it too much either.

I could make the wheels black but I think it would look odd with the tires. I really doubt it would look good.

arcteryx - I think your monitor colors are off! The artwork is blue! On both my computer and on the shirt we did a test print on a few days ago. The normal stock blue color (mine is blue so my wife made the artwork with my cruiser before we figured we'd see if anyone was interested in buying them). The banner is the same color as the cruiser. But like I said, the plan is that if we make them to sell we'll make them to whatever color YOUR cruiser is (or you want). :)

I am going wheeling Sunday so I'm spending most of tomorrow making sure my 40 and my wife's truck is ready, but if I get some time I'll go over to my parents house and print a few shirts and post pictrues of the artwork on the shirt. If not tomorrow Monday for sure.
 
Any chance to get the turn signals mounted on fenders? For the of us with the 71 and up years.

Huh, I didn't even notice the missing turn signals! My wife is a graphic designer and has done all the artwork stuff. It't not looking like I'll get out to my parents house today, but monday for sure I'll have prices and I'll talk to my wife and we'll get the 135HP off for sure and see about the turn signals.. I have two 73's so I wouldn't mind seeing the signals added either if she can do it easy enough.

For sure in time for christmas list! Probally like mid next week I can actually start printing them and taking orders. I will also have a picture of all the colors so if they are off a little we can tweek them closer to the actual color. I only have a blue one to go out and look at n person. Maybe someday I can have one of each color... hum...
 
Went wheeling yesterday and didn't get back until late last night, didn't get work done of the artwork. A shower and TV until we fell asleep seemed nice after smashing through snow all day.

We're trying to figure out how to get rid of the 135HP and keeping the FJ55 without it looking funny. And Danielle said no problem on the turn signals. I'll post the redone artwork posted as soon as it's ready, and I'll post one of each color for input as well!

Love the idea of the Pig 4WD emblem on the front breast!

I think the turn signals would help it look a little less like a toy in that image.

Could you add the rear quarter marker lights w/ the vent surround?
Door handles?

Not trying to be a PITA, the image just looks a little "toy like".

What color shirts? Any chance you could do OD (dark olive) green? That would be sweet!
 
Sorry, my best friend was in a horrible accident and is in ICU in a coma, haven't really felt much like doing much the last couple weeks.

I will try to get things moving again next week, just having a really tough couple of weeks.
 
that sucks. really hope things get better for him. puts things in perpective, these are just piles of metal... Prayers to him
 
Our prayers go out to your friend, also. You're considered lucky in life, to have one truly good friend. Take care of him, we can wait.
