This is what happens when the crazy/loving wifey buys a 1974 truck off of ebay. Piggy originally came from California, about 2 years ago. Having not spent it's entire life on Ohio's salt ridden roads, it was still in pretty good shape. The motor was not the case. Previous owner said it ran, but made some noise. Some noise turned out to be a very shot rod and bearing. This is the part where it is nice to be about 30 minutes from Jim C/FJ40JIM. Scored a rebuildable '86 2F from him and proceeded to do a complete rebuild. With that done, it was time to tackle the body. There is alot of sheet metal there when you start sanding. Little one ready for bed, more later.

This may be a dumb question and I think I already know the answer, but I might as well ask. The plastic base to the interior dome light goes on after the headliner is installed, right? I have insulation all installed and I'm waiting for my headliner bows to appear. As soon as there here, it's operation headliner install. Thanks..

if your weatherstrips around the headliner are all good, 12 pack. if they are stiff or brittle better get a full case. deduct four bottles if you're paying someone to install the windshield and cargo glass.

Who was it that posted about installing an extra dome light in the rear off the back crossmember? I thought that sounded like a cool idea.

I think Cruiserguy put a whole "rib" in back and put a dome light in, I just screwed mine in to an existing.

i'll be adding the crossmembers from an extra roof and using the old front crossmember to mount a light if i ever get around to working on the pickle again
