Saw this oldie and thought of Jmack. Would be cool to put 4x4 and a Cummins into.

You are literally going to get me killed if my wife sees this, honestly I don't need any encouragement.
FYI, I just bought a third tuck an hour ago for my pig hauler/camper project and fear I might find her breaking point if I even mention a fourth.

So after a phone call, I find out this is an old salvage yard I used to frequent back in the mid 90’s. Owner at that time was in his late 70’s, building a new house on his own, and still flying his own plane. A real character who had inherited the yard from his Dad in the late 60’s. Newest vehicle in the yard was mid 70’s. The current owner bought it last year after the PO’s spouse passed. He passed in 2013 at 95.
The Divco needs some loving for sure, but pretty solid. He’s in ballpark of $800. and thinks he’s got the title. In our conversation I mentioned a 1940 Ford panel that I had tried to buy numerous times. Turns out it’s still there. Soooo much temptation there, and it’s half hour from me.

If it's any help I drooped 50K on crap I don't need, necessary want or have time to work on and I'm still married for the moment. I say for $800.00 that's an easy choice and if I were in your shoes I'd buy the 1940 Ford panel too.

There is the old trick of bringing it home in pieces, “honey it’s just parts” :p

My wife is encouraging me to at least check them out. My problem is when would it ever happen? Still 24/7 caretaker/giver, so outside time is too limited already. Really want to get AuPig on the road, but sorta on hold. Wife needs a couple of surgeries, and she wants to see her daughter in Salt Lake this summer in our Airstream. So currently rehabbing the Airstream and making sure things work. The Divco and Ford panel caught my inner junkman’s eye and I am tempted. The panel might be same wheelbase as a 55, which I happen to have a couple rolling chassis’s.

Sounds interesting!

If anyone goes to the trouble to pull a tranny and does not go to the next step to replace everything they should get punched in the dick
