I've been using Rain-X Silicon ones and here in mid-Michigan I find they don't really last more than 12 months or so.....I tend to swap to new around fall to beat the deep freeze of winter. They have a little lip which help them stick to the windshield and not ice up.
i just purchased the"Aero" silicone wiper blades front and rear the fronts are 450mm J hooks and the rear is a 400mm J hook style..
can't say how they work because my trucks in the shop , hopefully get it back tomorrow but they look pretty good.
i got them off ebay.com.au for about 26 bucks for the 3.
pm me if you can't find them, i just searched for 80 series wiper blades
The OEM arms were long gone from mine when I got it, so I have used a couple different sets in the last two years. Thus far, the RainX H-series (Hybrid) which I assume are silicone, have been fantastic so far. And when you say cheap, that does NOT mean they cost less. Still $16.97 EACH from WallyWorld. I wish I could buy the inserts.
I switched to the Bosch Icon full unit and within just a couple months the center section lifted off the windshield leaving a 2-3 inch stripe of unwiped glass dead center in my field of vision. I had to bend them on each side of the plastic section to make them work again. I don't know what brand came on my rig when I got it a year ago but they were still working at least as good as these. I normally buy Valeo for my other cars but took a chance on Bosch. Never again.
Four years on... Beno or CDan, do you happen to know if there is a difference between the japanese parts and the chinese 85212-YZZ04-TM blade assembly? I was given two of the same part number for the left and right windshield; I thought I received differentiated left/right blade assemblies some years ago from CDan.
