I'm running PIAA silicon blades and I'm pretty happy but in the Silblades web looks there is no model available right now for 80 series Cruisers ..

For a 1994 FZJ80, the website lists:

2 x SilBlade Front 18" Wiper (Product Number 118)
1 x SilBlade Rear 16" Wiper (Product Number 116)

thanks !

I've been using Rain-X Silicon ones and here in mid-Michigan I find they don't really last more than 12 months or so.....I tend to swap to new around fall to beat the deep freeze of winter. They have a little lip which help them stick to the windshield and not ice up.

the rainx blades are cheap, but they are the best of the cheap blades (trico/anco) out there.

same body, same windshield, so I would assume same wiper blades...

Possibly.

I've never tried fitting them between an earlier or later 80 series.

The part numbers are different. The earlier 80 series now have American made wiper blades. The later 80 series blades are still Japanese imports.

curious. I wonder if the blades are interchangeable -- the actual arms, I mean...

i just purchased the"Aero" silicone wiper blades front and rear the fronts are 450mm J hooks and the rear is a 400mm J hook style..
can't say how they work because my trucks in the shop , hopefully get it back tomorrow but they look pretty good.
i got them off ebay.com.au for about 26 bucks for the 3.
pm me if you can't find them, i just searched for 80 series wiper blades

The OEM arms were long gone from mine when I got it, so I have used a couple different sets in the last two years. Thus far, the RainX H-series (Hybrid) which I assume are silicone, have been fantastic so far. And when you say cheap, that does NOT mean they cost less. Still $16.97 EACH from WallyWorld. I wish I could buy the inserts.

I switched to the Bosch Icon full unit and within just a couple months the center section lifted off the windshield leaving a 2-3 inch stripe of unwiped glass dead center in my field of vision. I had to bend them on each side of the plastic section to make them work again. I don't know what brand came on my rig when I got it a year ago but they were still working at least as good as these. I normally buy Valeo for my other cars but took a chance on Bosch. Never again.

Four years on... Beno or CDan, do you happen to know if there is a difference between the japanese parts and the chinese 85212-YZZ04-TM blade assembly? I was given two of the same part number for the left and right windshield; I thought I received differentiated left/right blade assemblies some years ago from CDan.

On a similar note, any luck on the 20004s?

Thanks, didn't want to miss out if a pallet or two had made its way stateside unbeknownst to me.

In case anyone cares, Rain-X "professional series" Weatherbeaters fit perfectly on the OEM arms.
