I'm a novice at this stuff but in looking at it it does look interesting to use as a radiator fan temp controller. Didn't know if anyone had any experience. It's got a temp display as well. You could set it easily for whatever temp you wanted.

And well this would be nice in monitoring trans and tcase temps. No need to to fuss about mounting a sensor where it actually needs to be in the oil. Just bolt this using one of the tcase, transmission bolts.

I've been using these for 25+ years to control processing ovens etc.

Extreme overkill for your application IMHO. I'd compare it to hunting cotton tail with a bazooka.


The problem is unless you understand what you are doing you may end up with to little hysteresis and a system that cycles constantly.

Yeah, what he said - PID controllers are a little overkill! Seems like I saw a variable speed radiator fan controller already available somewhere?
