almost done!

ACK - has the same exhaust crossover as the Tacoma... I'm curious what Toyota is smoking.

And in the last pick in this post, it looks like the frame is butt-welded together... Beth they sliced a 4Runner frame, but welded it and called it done. Makes me wonder how much planning Toyota has really done for this vehicle.

Can someone chop an ARB bumper onto the front of this thing? Maybe that will make it look.. uh... better?

Man, look at all that ground clearence!

Ugh.

Nope, not here. Be nice to see a Petersons write up on it though.

Nice work Dianna! What was your impression in real life?
I like it alot, nice styling work on the fenders and detail transitions.

I like the "TOYOTA" on the front, that's cool if they bring that back.
I removed the "T" beltbuckle off mine too, the one thing I didn't like.

I actually liked it better when I saw it in person but I'm definitely not in love with it. I might actually like it better if the just marketed it as an offroad vehicle and named it something else. I don't like the fact that they put "FJ" on it. It's nothing like my FJ40, I don't want it compared to it! It's got a round headlight bezel... what else is there?

The original, the first concept fj, and then the final "production" vehicle? I don't get it!

The more I look, the more I'm convinced that I'd rather update my original FJ.

Nice blind spots. Looks like a 40 that got stepped on and had someone spill a blue raspberry slurpee on it.

My wife said "We can let Sydney (our daughter)..."

Your daughter has a cool name, but spells it wrong. :flipoff2:

<----- Sidney. :D

Opposite reaction from me. The more I look at it the more I hate it.

Same with me. The day of the Chicago Auto Show I was ready to buy one, and if they had released them that day I probably would be driving one now. BUT now that I've had a chance to mull it over a bit more I highly doubt that I'll buy one when they are available.
