Thanks for the pictures and suggestions, everyone. I am now leaning towards the original color and a set of hubcaps. Although the black did look pretty good on 1911's Rustic Green...:)

-no offense Lee, I love your rig....except for the plates. Green Cruiser look much better with NM plates.

I've thought several times about registering it in NM, using my property address there, but decided not to mostly for the hassle with insurance and annual inspection, etc. Have no way to get mail in NM yet either. :frown:

No annual inspection or emission inspection here. You already own her too so no tax. Just registration, which is good for two years :-) oh, and no front plate to ruin the perfection of a cruiser front end.

Was almost done, but decided to drop a vortec into it, just more practical all the way around.

My green monster

Here is my June 72' - first FJ40 I've owned, 3rd owner, mostly stock. Have aspirations of slapping a diesel in it.. added the roof rack and safari tent as well as the absolutely unnecessary and ridiculous fog lights. Don't judge me.

These tires are Federal Couragia M/T 31x10.5x15.
The road sound is acceptable and driving is good although is have standard power steering, don't know how they are without.

Grtz

9/73 Rustic Green. Trying to decide whether to keep the Firestone Destination MT on Hellcat centerlines or go with the gray steel wheels and yes I know the bezel is upside down.
