I just now got the orange one back together with new front springs after trashing the last ones. Hopefully i can keep the axle under it now!

Well I'm sitting on the side of the road with a locked up 5.3 .. Cause smoke coming out of the air filter has to be bad... I guess it's a good thing I didn't drive it to round up ... Time to start the search for free 0 mile motor ... ok so a low mile cheap one will do ...

Bogged down on the highway then sounded like someone tossed marbles in it busted a uturn to get home and it stopped tried to crank it... "Klunk" :-/

Ouch. Out of oil? That seems pretty crazy for it to just go out like that.

Well I found a 48K 5.3 about a100 miles away... Brought it home in mini van

Tore it down and cleaned it... Replaced some seals and painted it ... And how do you get your locked up motored truck into the drive to fix... You push it with the tow bar

Pulled the bull bar off and removed the motor remember to clean the old motor bits cause putting dirty bits on a clean motor kinda sucks.... And if your truck is too tall to pull the motor ... Just flatten the tires

So what was the cause of the first failure?

Haven't pulled the the whole thing down but I think the rings failed cause I found ALOT of oil in the intake

Test fit my old ARB fridge and Smittybilt JK storage drawer. Fits better then I thought ... It leaves a opening by the seat... But my sub box even fits woohoo.
