Congrats on your sweet 100!

I wonder who'd win in a drag race, straight-up. Me (or anyone), with DT headers, spare tire/muffler deletion, or your new whip? I've just been so impressed with these headers, I had to ask:grinpimp:

...pretty sure you'd still whip me.

On that note, I would think that the DT's would benefit the VVTi even more that the original 4.7.

Probably so... More HP requires more fuel and oxygen. Better breathing might free up some more ponies. Intake and exhaust looks almost exactly the same as the 2000 (different MAF and exhaust manifold shields).

On another note. Pinstripe will be coming off later this evening via heat gun and goo gone followed by some wax as long as it doesn't rain!

Next weekend, thinking about dropping all fluids and going with Amsoil. Friend w/ an 08 Tahoe Z71 will bring a couple 6-packs of Stella and we'll get fluids changed on both at the same time. Save a little on shipping. Shopping list (basically double what I would order for just the LC)

Total with Tax and Shipping including all discounts is $494.43

When I was looking at doing JUST my truck, it was ~$300-ish by itself. The more you buy, the deeper the discount, so if you have a buddy or 3 that want to do the same thing, put it all on one order and save more moo-lah.

The oil is 35,000-mile (or 1yr) drain interval with a filter change at midpoint. The rest is 100,000-mile service interval fluids.

Oh, you wanted to see pics???

LOL... the DSLR is @ home. I'll see what I can do this afternoon. It's covered in pollen right now though. At least it's not BLACK.

'03 100 w/100K miles = 5W-30 dino oil and no engine rattle at startup. 0W-30 Amsoil Signature and rattle at startup is quite noticeable. Engine sounds a little "diesely" under load until it has had a few minutes of warmup time and then all is fine. Records show this truck was dealer serviced with oil and filter changed every 5K miles before I bought it. Will be going to Amsoil 5-30 at next change. YMMV

Hello Andy,

Look into becoming a temporary dealer for amsoil. I think it is $10 for 6 months or $20 for a year. You get to buy it at dealer cost and will save you a lot of money for this large buy. I know it saved me almost $50 when i did all the fluids on my 98LX.

Nice rig BTW

TLC Dan

Good to know about the 0W issue. Thanks!

On the Amsoil, that price includes $20 to become a "preferred customer". Dropped the price $100+ with that big of an order!

Didn't get a chance to get the camera out before dark. One pic though. :D

Yeah, not sure how long those "stickers" will stay on there. Looks "OK, but WAY fake".

OK, here's some pics. Almost didn't make it in time today either w/ the overcast skys:

ur missin' your seatback knob. i'd call it a total, let me know if you want to part it out. :)

LOL... Yeah, it's on order. :p

It was a close call, and I almost had to call my insurance company, but I think it'll survive...

Cool phone pocket- you know you wish you had AHC controls there- ha,ha

Did I read 16.1 mileage hwy doing 77? I must need a tune up or I'm really driving hard in between my hwy drives. Probably the latter:steer: I got 14.1 on my last tank.

That cruiser looks to be in great shape:cool:

Looking at the pics I almost want you to leave it stock......almost.
