I am down there a 2-3 times a year, visit a friend in Scottsdale, watch some ball games.

I used to be there, then I moved. :(

I'm in NJ now, and my dad in TX will be buying my GX next month. So, I guess the TX crowd will get another one!

I'm in Moab, UT but I do not have my GX yet so technically I'm not one of ya'll. Soon though. I'll pick up my 2006 Sports Edition in Parker, CO in the not too distant future and then I'll drive it home. It looks like some of you might be along the way and it could be fun to stop by and say hello.

I left in calumet city 1976, joined the Air Force and only back to visit

Haha, I can't take the winters anymore. Or the corruption. Or the traffic. Or the taxes. Or really anything else this s***ty state has to offer.

Unfortunately, the entire family is here and the spousal unit is pretty adamant on staying close to home. 13 more years to retirement and then I'll have some bargaining chips to get me out west or down south somewhere. My favorite part of illinois is the giant deficit spending and constant tax hikes for lesser services. LOL

Luckily, I'm single, have no kids, and really have nothing tying me down to IL so its a much easier decision for me. The good thing about being a tech is I can literally turn wrenches anywhere, so that's a bonus. I rent a house here now, so really all I need to do is get rid of some crap in the house and load everything I need in a trailer and head out.

Sounds like you got a good plan. I'm a little envious! If you feel helping a fellow Wood Grain Warrior knock out a timing belt/water pump job before you head out, let me know! :-)
