Has anyone compiled a list of parts to order before tearing into the Birfields? I'm at about 210K miles and can't find any evidence that they've been done. Just starting to get the very early clunks when turning.

I'd like to not have to get in there again for another 200K, so what should I order in terms of gaskets, bearings, lock nuts, etc? Do one of our vendors have a pre-sourced kit?

Lots of pre-sourced kits. Call Curt at Cruiser Outfitters. Since you don't want to be in there for 200K more miles, get all new wheel bearings too. Also check your rotor and if you think that needs replacing, do that too (and maybe even the studs). If you've never done it before, make sure you have the FSM. I just did it, and this video helped with tear down (and tools needed).

And this page is pretty much an excellent write-up... Toyota Front Axle Rebuild
