Paul, do those ribs line up? they look like they are off? It also looks like the pass side ribs do not go far enough to the front? Is that a pic of the inside weld on one of the quarters? if so it sure is rough. are they lining up or what? I am not getting a good feeling here.

wipe those feelings away! I think it was the way I was holding it up and trying to snap the pics.

Yes, pass side does not go all the way forward, lower 2 line up but as the ribs go higher the panel would have needed to be longer and include the wheelwell area. I'm thinking it is a fairly easy blend into the existing ribs. maybe??

inside welds are a bit rough, but the outside is nice and smooth, it looks like the panels are made with several strips of material welded together, pics didn't show it very well.

That's not making me too happy. I was looking for an exact match to OEM. I may need to leave the upper two ribs as is and just use the lower two depending on how things are. I'll be looking at mine closer over the next few days now that we have arrived back "home" in Guatemala.

i am not getting a real good feeling. but to be honest with you, i had a strong feeling after seeing the first pics that were posted a looooong time ago that we were not going to see much in the way of perfection, originality and consistency. i looked at those pics pretty hard and if you look at the pics that Paul posted, every quarter looks a little different. the ribs not going to the original length to me is unacceptable. the least he could have given us was the entire original qtr. i am glad these only cost $300.00 or i would be PO'ed. we will see when they arrive how much butchering i will have to do, but at least i have something to start with. i can use the good parts from my qtrs to add to his. if they are close enough.

Paul, when are you shipping them out?

Just to get this back up due to the server issues. This is what the passenger side of my FJ45LV looks like and what I was hoping for as far as a reproduction is concerned. As you can see the ribs get progressively longer as they move up the body. The repro panel has all ribs of the same length and shorter than the longest one on the truck (I think it's about the length of the second longest but I'd need to check to know for sure.

The curve as it goes from side to back is tapered as it should be.
